I've had a few black pairs of 511's and 512's for about 6 years now and my last pair has finally had a crotch blowout. I went to buy more at a Levi's store and TJ Maxx in a mall, got some on Amazon and even a pair I found for a good price at Costco. Even after wearing and washing them a few times, they feel itchy and a lot stiffer than my other pairs. They even hug me noticeably differently. I ended up returning some of them I was so disappointed with them. I compared the tags and they both say 99% cotton, the only difference I can see is that the old pairs were made in Pakistan while these new ones are made in Egypt.

Does it take a lot longer to break in jeans than I remember or are they made differently now?
