How does do? Prop separation?

I recently propagated a Bob Serbin. And what happens every time I propagate is that there are multiple babies at different growth stages. I had planned to leave the current props to grow a bit more but then at least 4 of them started to bloom while attached to the mother leaf, so I decided to split them.

I potted the above, and there were at least 3 other baby props that I tossed because I ran out of pots and they had the least developed root systems

I don’t understand how to get all the props to a healthy size before removing them from the parent leaf. At least 3 of these will die in the coming days if not 4. The stems are black. What do y’all do?
