Manassas City Public School

If you have a student in Manassas City public schools, specifically Round Elementary, you need to ask your local representative and the superintendent why the principal at Round ignores student safety. A good friend of mine shared some shocking information and has receipts if need. Two major incidents in that school the principal at Round Elementary School not moving on to immediate action after being warned about incidents happening under her watch.

First in October 2025, a nonverbal autistic 5-year-old male child walked out of a gate and was found by a Good Samaritan at the traffic light by Hastings and Battlefield Dr. The female principal’s only concern was about her being on the CNN or ABC. The female principal also never told the child’s parents. Round Elementary’s current principal told the parents “he eloped” but refused to go into details. Instead, it appeared she attempted to blame support staff when support staff warned and begged for different recess time and to fix the gate. He’s a 5-year-old male child expected to play with general Ed second grade. His kindergarten peers have recess with a closed gate, but the principal at Round refuses to give this boy the same type of recess. Weeks prior the principal knew the gate was broken and other staff members suggested a different recess time and fix the gate. She simply ignored because student safety is not a priority. Recently he escaped again.

Next we have March 2026, we have a student who was recently s. assaulted by a male teacher. The incident was reported to CPS by another teacher who saw it. Thank goodness for that teacher and their bravery. It’s sad how the principal at Round handled the information when she found out there was no immediate action from her. According to the principal, she told staff that they could not have their doors covered in the beginning of the school year. The room, and where this child was s.a. Has coverings on the door. This was mentioned to the principal by the staff member when reporting the initial incident. The staff member suggested that the principal tell or take the coverings off. This was told to the principal in the morning. The coverings remained on the door even in the afternoon and even till this day right now. The coverings in that door are still there. She refused to take them down and do action to protect students at Round Elementary School in Manassas, Virginia. What her immediate action should’ve been is to ask that teacher to remove the covers unless there’s a lockdown at that moment. The teacher who s. assaulted the student did not know they were reported, so he would not have suspected anything at that time when she asked him to take down his coverings. The female principal never did. We don’t even think she ever went to that side of the hallway. There are emails and images to show proof of everything that’s being said here. She didn't care her actions showed. This is the truth. The community deserves answers and the truth. The children who you allowed to enter that room with door coverings after the principal at Round. Knew what happened, and they continued to have class there with coverings. They deserve an apology for the failure and lack of protection. The parents deserve answers and accountability. School board members we have questions. Principal owes ROUND families transparency and an apology.
