How does everyone handle it when a key employee quits with zero warning?
Talked to a business owner last week whose ops manager quit with two weeks notice after four years, no warning, straight to a competitor. She ended up covering the role herself for a month because between the ad, interviews, and training, nothing moves fast when you actually need it to.
What got me is how many owners have this exact story. One person leaves and suddenly the whole business is running on the owner's own steam until it's fixed.
Anyone actually got a system for this, or is it always scramble mode when it happens?
