Thoughts an early-build 2023 Raptor R with 10k miles for $103,500?

Thoughts an early-build 2023 Raptor R with 10k miles for $103,500?

Looking at a 2023 Raptor R for $103,500 before tax- 107.750 after tax:
● January 2023 build
● 10k miles
● Clean Carfax, no known issues
● Ford Gold Certified
● ~4 years/90k powertrain warranty remaining + 12mo/12k comprehensive
● Original owner traded it around 4k miles; dealer GM has been driving it since
● Very clean gray truck
● No heated steering wheel due to early production/chip shortage
My main concern is the early January 2023 build. Were there any known issues with the early Raptor Rs?
Does $103.5k seem fair for this mileage?

Looking for advice from Raptor R owners. I’m considering a 2024 Raptor R with 27k miles. Dealer had it at $110,900 and I got them down to $108k before taxes/fees.
A few things have me questioning it:
First owner put roughly 27k miles on it.
Second owner only kept it for about 600 miles, which seems a little odd.
It spent most of its life in Ohio and is now in Virginia.
I looked underneath and noticed some orange/surface rust in a few areas. Nothing looked major, but more than I expected on a 2024.
I’m coming from a 2025 Tundra TRD Pro and would be daily driving the Raptor R.
For owners who know these trucks: Would 27k miles, the Ohio history/rust, or the short second ownership concern you? How have these held up around 30–50k+ miles, and are there any major reliability issues I should specifically look for?
I’m planning on getting a PPI before buying.
At $108k, would you entertain this one if the inspection is clean, look for a lower-mile 2023/2024, or just keep the Tundra and wait for a better example?

2023 Raptor R advice

Looking for some honest advice from current Raptor R owners.
I found a 2023 Raptor R at CarMax with 26,000 miles for $102,000. It’s a one-owner truck with what appears to be a solid service history, and I’m seriously considering it.
The thing is, I currently own a 2025 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, so this definitely isn’t a “need” purchase. I know financially it probably doesn’t make the most sense, but I’ve wanted a Raptor for a long time and I really love the look of the 2023s.
My biggest concern is reliability. I’ve never owned a Ford and I’ve never owned a Raptor, so I don’t know what ownership is actually like. My Tundra has been great, and I don’t want to trade it for something that’s constantly going to need repairs or become a headache.
For those of you who own or have owned a Raptor R:
How reliable has it been?
Is 26,000 miles considered high for one of these, or is it nothing to worry about?
Are there any common issues or “gotchas” with the 2023 model?
Are repairs or maintenance significantly more expensive than a normal F-150?
Is there anything I should inspect before buying one with this mileage?
Does buying one from CarMax change your opinion at all?
Basically, if you were in my shoes, would you make the switch from a 2025 Tundra TRD Pro to a 2023 Raptor R, or would you keep the Toyota?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who actually own these trucks and have put some miles on them. Thanks!

2023 Raptor R with 29k miles

Hi guys, I’ve been always a tundra driver and currently drive a 2025 TRD Pro I bought a 8k miles last year.
Was eyeing out raptors but never owned anything but Toyotas.

What are your thoughts on reliability of 2023 models and if would make sense to get a newer one but used? The 23 is going for $102K from carmax
Or I can put some money on it and get a 2025 for $120k ish w 8k miles.
Personally line the look of the 2023 more but what are your thoughts on reliability? I really don’t want to deal with dealer BS
