I wanted to be more to the right, but my front tires were stuck in deep ruts and pulled me left and I high centred myself
With the crazy suspension travel on this truck I didn’t even think it was possible but I found a way
Was about to close on a Gen 3 2023 and then saw this 24 3.5 with 802 in the best color and got the deal to make sense. First truck ever! Can’t sleep so excited.
Ok, need some thoughts/opinions… I’m looking at a 26 Raptor but struggling to decide on 801A vs 802A. I’ll be the first to admit, she is going to be a pavement princess. Assume 99.99% of her miles will be on some sort of paved road.
I do not have any visual preference between 35s and 37s. I assume I will get the smallest of MPG improvement on the 35s, maybe 1mpg better. I am looking for on road comfort and questioning if the extra money for a 802A is worth anything for what will be a pavement princess.

Two options I’m looking at:
Foutz Motorsports 3/16" aluminum skid kit
https://www.foutzmotorsports.com/products/2017-2020-ford-raptor-skid-plate-kit
Borne Off-Road 5/32" steel transmission skid
https://www.levelupsuspension.com/products/borne-off-road-transmission-skid-plate-21-raptor
I’m leaning toward the Foutz aluminum kit because it’s more of a full belly/transmission/transfer-case setup, and it includes a transmission crossmember support/mount plate instead of just protecting the transmission pan. My understanding is that the crossmember itself can bend in heavy rock contact, so reinforcing that seems more useful than just saying “steel is tougher.”
Anybody here run either one? Would you choose the Foutz aluminum setup for the reinforced crossmember, or go steel for repeated rock hits?
(I bring an offering of off-roading Blåhajar.)
Actually went to the sandwich shop next door. When I came out it made me chuckle, I had to snap a picture and post it.
I’m looking at buying a 2019-2020 Raptor and purchasing an ESP warranty for the obvious reasons. I have a hard time not tinkering with vehicles once i have them so i will probably want to do a tune, exhaust, and intake.
Has anyone successfully had warranty work completed on their raptor after replacing all of the stock components and taking it to the dealership? This is the deciding factor on wether or not i go with a gen 1 or gen 2. And i know it can vary by dealership, but if it has worked for some then i will take the risk myself.
Picked up my Gen 2 Raptor previous owner had 22 inch fuel wheels on these (suprisingly don’t look that bad but jeez first thing I’m switching)
I’m torn between keeping it black on black or throwing on some Machined KMC’s.
Is anyone here running 17x8.5 wheels with 0 offset on 35” tires?
I’m trying to see how the fitment looks and whether there’s any rubbing, trimming, crash bar issues, or weird poke. Would appreciate pictures if you have them, especially side/front angles.
Saw a 23 bronco raptor for 66k
But it has a buy back title for what for said "engine rattle" that has been fixed
Less than 6k miles
Hey I’m looking for some options on what truck I should get. I have looked at one a 2024 raptor the grey one. Good mileage they were aggressive on the deal they gave me. Couple turns off for me was on the Carfax there was a big jump in mileage from 29k to 45k obviously a mistake but I’ve had that issue in the past and it’s a pain. That and the truck was obviously a work truck. Really high engine hours for the miles. Then there’s the 2023 with similar mileage and I really like the service record and only 1 previous owner. It’s just the price I haven’t gone so I don’t know what kind of deal I can get. Just doesn’t have a lot of manufacturing warranty. But I could always get extended on it preferably Ford ESP. Just want some options/ concerns from raptor owners.
I got the 26 raptor f150. Disappointing hearing the sound isn’t fully real. How does it sound without it? How does the truck sound outside of it? I got the 6 cyl of course, sadly.
2018 with 90k miles what yall think totaled? Or salvageable ? Got hit by a car while I was on vacation.
Started with a 2018, then a 21 (35”), 24 (35”) and now a 26 R. Great truck. Tons of fun, and completely impractical. I added the AFE Carbon Track Series intake and GooseTune’d it as well. Exterior is wrapped in clear PPF and ceramic coated too. I moved my 20” Vossen’s on 37” KO3’s over to the R from my 24 Raptor.
Started the week right, front suspension and a tune up done, alignment this afternoon.
I have a 2023 raptor with method wheels which I’m pretty sure their -5 off set. I know the SVC one say I must run 0 off set rims but is that true? Could I get by with -5 off set or do I need to get all new wheels and tires just to get these upper control arms? I don’t know if I need 0 offset for the camburg ones or not so I added them in case I can run -5 offset
Looking for some advice on my Gen 1. I have a 2012 with the Navigation and Sony sound system. I have a couple other cars and whenever I blast music, it’s MUCH louder in my other cars. The music in the Raptor is much quieter and it feels like it “turns it down” to protect itself from maybe blowing a speaker or something. I’ve turned the speed volume control off and everything I can think of, and basically I’m ready to replace what I need to. So my question is, is the “protection mode” that won’t let me go any louder controlled in the head unit or the amp/speakers? Can I get away with just replacing the amp and speakers or do I need to replace the whole system too?
Thank you!
