I am currently looking to exploring other Russian literature beyond the 19th century and into the 20th century. I have read other Soviet-era writers, but have only heard little bits of discussion regarding Platonov. After some research, I have come to learn that he apparently was one of the greatest Soviet writers; with Joseph Brodsky holding in high acclaim alongside other modernists like Joyce, Proust, Beckett and others. Is there anyone here who has read some of Platonov’s corpus who could weigh in?

I have heard about the Metro series for many years and only recently bought the Saga Bundle. I know little about the lore/story. Should I read Glukhovsky‘s original trilogy or would I be missing out on getting the most out of my first playthrough?
