I’m not too familiar with what’s normal wear and tear on the internal of a motor. These are pics I was sent of a motor I was supposed to get. To me it doesn’t seem normal ? Can anyone confirm or deny my assumption before I give the green light to ship it? 😅😅
To me it looks like water got into it and has rust. It looks like it has pitting unless it’s just the carbon buildup that makes it seem that way
I’m swapping in a lq9 into my 03 z71 single cab. I’m wanting to throw a cam in it but can’t decided on what. This is my daily so I don’t want something that’s going to kill drivability but want something with a really nice chop. I also plan on running the stock converter. Truck does have a stage 1 4l60 from TCR out in Vegas.
Motor will also have 1 7/8 long tube headers. Will also be doing a melling oil pump, ls7 lifters and wanted to do springs and pushrods while I’m at it.
Currently looking into BTR, TSP, RHP, and LSXceleration.
