First Up is an Upper Endoscopy

Went to the GI doctor Monday who agreed that I may have gastroparesis. He said first he needs to rule out other things like H Pylori and Celiac disease, so I am scheduled for an upper endoscopy and if that is normal then next is the gastric emptying scan. Anyone have a endoscopy and were there any signs during the procedure that pointed to Gastroparesis? TIA

What to expect with first GI appointment?

Going to see a GI doctor Monday. Wondering what to expect? My symptoms are nausea and vomiting within an hour of eating, intense bloating and gas, pain in left rib cage and shoulder blade, unintentional weight loss all for about 6 weeks.. What test might be suggested before an GES? Should I just out right requests one? Any advice or stories of their first appointment? TIA

About 4 weeks ago I started experiencing miserable digestive issues. It’s started with intense bloating after I ate, that turned into nausea and vomiting with in a few hours of eating. I get pain in my left shoulder blade area and can’t use the bathroom. My bowl habits have changed drastically. Going from using the bathroom every day to going maybe once every 5 days. If I can keep food down I end up burping up some hours later. I ended up in the ER where they checked for a bowl obstruction which I did not have. I am miserable and have an appointment with my PCP on Monday. Just searching for info, maybe diagnostic stories, thoughts. TIA
