Still finding quirks on this roadtrip. The frunk and trunk both rarely open to begin with. But if I hit the buttons like 20 times in a row and eventually they’ll open. Now I’m finding when the car sits in the sun for a while, nothing. Even a 100 times nothing. Come out in the morning, and both work first time.
Is heat a thing for screwing with these. If I wanted to fix when home, what parts would I need?
It’s now stuck in between the wind screen and the mirror. Does anyone know what to do?
I know I need new seats in the boxster. I currently have the metropol blue and love the color but the is so much coming out of the sides where it ripped now.
Has anyone put the 987 seats in the 986. I have the 2 way basic manual so feel like it would be easy wire wise. People with those seats, do you actually fit any better or more comfortable?
Any other suggestions as I feel they may be too far gone just to reupholster
The 3 button key I have for the car doesn’t work. The buttons don’t press and if I unlock the car with the driver key hole. It locks again in 3 seconds if I don’t open it, and the alarm just goes off. I’ve replaced the battery but the key is in rough shape.
I’ve heard it’s around $400 USD to get a full key replacement, is this my only option, or what have others done?
Have a 2002 with blue soft top and a glass window. It’s tearing from the window seams and is shaking/wafting a lot at speed. Assuming I’m going to need it replaced.
Does anyone have any recommendations for replacements. I’m assuming go glass is a better idea then the plastic. But any suggestions?
Haven’t driven really at night by noticed the current halogen setup isn’t exactly the brightest. Was thinking of just putting Amazon h7 LED bulbs in for some added visibility. Anyone do this with luck or problems?
Looking for some help in finding the best way to ship two front seats from a car from Oregon to Pennsylvania.
Seller is not being super helpful with the shipping process. They are asking for a place he can drop it off, they pack/protect and then ship from Oregon.
Seller states he has done it before for around 400$ but I can’t find anything for less than 1k.

Going to do my driver side window regulator in the next two weeks. Then also going to do the coils, plugs, and tubes. Anyone have some advice/tips for a guy just starting to do DIY work?
