Check on an extended hold
I just went to a local branch for my chase account an I deposited a check i got from a class action lawsuit, the teller on 6/29/26, the lady told me it would be on a extended hold til 7/08/26 with no available funds. She told me to call the number on my receipt the next day and request why it was being held for so long. I contacted them, got one lady who was really rude and told me my account was new and i told her i just opened it in October, i really opened it end of September. She told i opened it in December.
When I asked for to speak to a supervisor to try and ask what's going on she just put me on hold and got her coworker who was the same position. Told that person what was going on and to try to see if they could expedite the check since I deposited one before from the same payer I got another lawsuit from a class action from another old employer i had. They said I couldn't make the process go faster even though I told them I can have the bank that issued the check and also the law firm to contact them to verify the check is valid. He said he couldn't help me to expedite it and that's when I asked if he was a supervisor, he said no, I then told him the last person I talked to said she would connect me to a supervisor and never did. This person said he escalated the problem and his supervisor and would contact me in 24 to 48 hours.
