Simple question since I dont want to stress during selection. While we are selecting, do I have to worry about my options that me and my roommate are looking at possibly being snatched up? Or, are those strictly visible to us?
Just trying to be extra prepared for selection.
EDIT: Cal Poly parents facebook has me stressed, they're saying all but red bricks triples are taken? And that housing has released all rooms at once?
For incoming students the class of 2030 is expected to start picking rooms on the 29th. However, it’s the 25th and I’ve heard nothing regarding any emails for appointment dates or times. Should I be concerned or does administration tend to be a tad last minute with these matters?

Forgetting formalities, for context i’m an incoming college freshman pursuing Chemistry. I already own a M1 2020 Mac book pro previously owned by my mother. It has 8gb in memory and i’m fairly sure a total of 256 gb of storage.
In your personal opinions, should I look towards exchanging/swapping out for a better suited laptop, or is the Mac book enough to last me a good portion or the entirety of my Bachelor’s? Additionally, possibly looking into purchasing an iPad or in general a hand-held product for note-taking.
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
