Karachi | Passport Collection

I applied for my passport on 5 May 2026. On 13 May 2026, I received an SMS from 9988 saying that my passport had been dispatched and could be collected from the passport office according to the date mentioned on my slip.

The delivery/collection date on my slip is 25-05-2026.

Does the SMS mean my passport has actually arrived at the Saddar Passport Office and is ready for collection, or do I need to wait for another message?

I'm a bit confused because a friend told me that one of his friends had to wait 4 - 5 months to receive their passport.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who has recently gone through the process could clarify. Thanks!

Is an Experience Letter Mandatory for Canada Express Entry (PR) Application?

I'm preparing my Express Entry application and wanted to know if an experience/reference letter from my employer is mandatory when claiming work experience points.

What if I'm unable to obtain a detailed reference letter that includes job duties, salary, hours worked, etc.? Has anyone successfully applied using alternative documents such as employment contracts, pay slips, tax records, bank statements, or a Letter of Explanation?

I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and what documents IRCC accepted in your case.

How important is an Experience Letter for a Cybersecurity job?

I'll be immigrating to Canada in a few months. My last company didn't provide an experience letter because their notice period was unrealistic (3 months). I worked there for a year and then left after serving just a one month notice period when I received a better opportunity.

I'm wondering how frequently employers in Canada ask for an experience letter, and what alternative approaches exist if a candidate is unable to provide one.
