What's this obsession with turning tg characters tb in fanfics across all the major fanfic sites?

I've noticed majority of fanfic writers make tg characters (Gwayne, Aemond and even Ormund now) switch sides. It's always a Targ!reader (Rhaenyra's daughter almost always) that makes them switch sides two minutes into the fic. It's getting boring and annoying. It's so rare to see a fic with a tg character that stays tg. And it's even harder to find a fic where tg has a happy ending...

Will Ryan keep Rhaenyra's original way of dying or will he create a new one?

Since got literally gave the biggest spoiler I'm really questioning whether Ryan will dare to change this huge moment in F&B

A friendly reminder that Sunfyre won 3 out of the 6 total dragon battles in the whole ASOIAF universe

With Balerion and Vhagar just one.

Now THAT is a dragon worth glazing!

The new Daeron "the Daring" by Debustee

He looks so cool with his actual silver hair. Let's hope we see it soon

Do y'all think the show-only fans will finally realize how weird Ryan and Hess are?

Since Rhaena is the reason why Jace died in the show and also *that* kiss I've seen way more people criticizing the show. Do y'all think they are finally going to listen to us about the state of this shitshow?

Why was almost every single Green Lord killed off or abandoned the Greens last minute?

Basically almost all Green Lords were (Ormund Hightower, Borros Baratheon, Lord Reyne, Jason Lannister) killed off by George in a very short span. The ones that weren't are the ones that were unloyal (Humfrey Bracken and Unwin Peake).

I don't mind him being biased and I get that George's favourite character is Daemon and that's why he leans more into tb but why exactly did he have to kill of almost every single Green (Liege lords included)?

Before I start let me say something: I don't mind George being biased since every author and person is, but I get annoyed when he claims he isn't and it's "an unreliable book". Up to the Dance it was an overall good book and was believable and not too biased. It seemed as if a switch was made in his head during and shortly after the Dance though.

Now let me start listing some of George's biases. (Feel free to correct me if I make any canonical or language mistakes)

  1. How Daeron's "crimes" were much more commented and reminded instead of the Greyjoys' which are arguably 10x worse

  2. Unnecessarily killing off seemingly almost all Greens. What had Gaemon done to be also killed off so young? Or Jaehaera dying so soon. Or even the major Green lords all dying. And almost all Greens overall dying in a very shameful and disgraceful deaths.

  3. George's treatment of Aemond and Daemon. Objectively they're almost the same if you think about it yet George acts as if Daemon is a "grey character" while Aemond is a classical villain.

  4. The armies and battles alone. Why did the Riverland's armies magically respawn even after Aemond was burning the Riverlands for 5 months straight which would make the Riverlands' population go down a lot.

  5. Just which Houses alone support Team Black. His only really argument against this is the Greyjoys. But we all know House Stark and Blackwood are George's favourites.

  6. The Hightowers seemingly forgetting about their Valyrian steel sword Vigilance after the Dance

  7. How much Houses were for TB. Realistically it would be so much less especially from Andal Houses like Royce

  8. George deeming Aemond's bastard son unimportant enough not to even mention him later on even though he's literally the son of a powerful witch. That's why theories like the Whent one were even born

  9. Baela not having a single scratch even after she lost a whole dragon battle. Realistically she would have at least a broken leg or burns

  10. Just the whole "And everyone lived happily ever after" after the war ended. Viserys ii magically reappearing with not a single scratch because realistically he would have been beaten or sold into prostitution or slavery in Essos

If you have any more stuff you'd like to add let me know!
