Google I/O 2026 updates, what actions will you take to keep your blog relevant?

There has been a few search updates during the Google I/O a couple of days ago.

The biggest one for search is now AI Mode is part of the search box and AI mode is slowly slowly becoming a bit of a default. I don't think it will happen yet but they are moving towards this. On mobile I already notice that the moment you scroll you basically default in AI mode.

What are you going to keep your blog relevant, not be so dependant of Google search results and still create a full-time income from it?

Bloggers already diversify with Pinterest, Flipboard and social media but Google always remains the main source of traffic.

I have some blogposts where I share restaurants and food spots. Is there a way to monitize this through affiliate platforms when I recommend a place?

Bulk uploading pins to Pinterest

Hi, I saw that Pinterest has a bulk upload feature, I'm wondering if this is only for paid ads or also for organic scheduling?

In order to do this, the link to your image needs to be in an open folder so Google Drive doesn't work for this set up. Anyone bulk uploading pins have a proper method for storing the images they want to use making the link public?

How to get a visa to travel Kenya

Kenya made headlines for becoming the first visa-free country in the world. What that actually means in practice is a bit more nuanced and if you show up unprepared it could cost you.

The short version: you still need to apply before you go, there's still a fee, and there are a few traps that catch a lot of travelers off guard: including one change that quietly made Kenya more expensive to visit despite the visa being "free".

We put together a complete breakdown of what's actually required to enter Kenya in 2026 costs, how to apply, processing times, and what to avoid.

Happy to answer questions if you're planning a trip.

I have a client that is switching to a Framer website, and I need to redirect 160 pages. I found some threads about it from 2 years ago that Framer didn't have a bulk option. I'm hoping that 2 years later there might be a solution now to do this? 😅
