Is there a way to turn off ai slop or reduce it in your feed??

I’m an artist, and I used to use Pinterest for random images I could use in a digital collage. It used to be something where you could look up a specific vibe you were going for, and it would show you actual relevant posts to your search. Now it’s just ai slop and ads selling things

It’s gotten to the point where I can’t use Pinterest. It’s ruined for me. Is there a way to turn this off? Or anything in settings to reduce the constant bombardment?

How the 🎶 do I look at whole pictures?

There are some pins that have a little icon in the upper left corner, telling me how many pictures are on the pin (it is 1. It's almost always 1). When I tap them, the format goes to crap and i can only see 1/4th of the original picture, and when I try to look at them in my feed they are obviously too small to read the text. How can I look at the whole picture?

I am losing my mind. I cannot look at anything on this app anymore. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I just want to see the pin, the whole pin and nothing but the pin. It's an app to look at pictures. Why am I not allowed to look at the whole picture. I feel like I am 83 years old and trying to delete Facebook because I keep getting scammed. I'm writing this with tears streaming down my face. Help.

Does anyone else have mostly AI in their feed

Most of the time I don't even notice it's AI until I go in the comments. I've been using Pinterest for years and I mostly save art and drawings but nowadays I feel like I can't avoid any AI art does anyone else have this issue

I spent the last weeks deleting all pinned pins: saved all links into my Notion and downloaded all pretty pictures and creative ideas. I feel free now.

As a lot of you pointed out: pinterest as app is filled with Ads and is no fun to use at all anymore. Also I couldn't see any pins of the people and boards I've followed (which was an option few years ago, similar to youtube subscriptions).
So I decided to delete my account BUT also saved everything important.
I'm happy to share that in my around 10.000 pins there were a lot of great ideas I had forgotten about 😃 (but also a lot of crap from earlier times, I won't miss) I feel inspired now, and sorted everything away ... again, but in a more offliny world now (Notion and .. just my windows explorer folders).
It's nice to no nothing will be delted by pinterest itself and that I can look ad-free at all the beautiful pictures, find all the ideas as easy as before and also now have a huuuuge reading list of nice and cozy/creative blogs. This will help me for sure with my ADHS and social media consumption in general, for the doom scrolling will get less and also the bad feeling when I opened the app and only saw ads.

Just wanted to share a personal win and also maybe a 'if you want to you could leave too without too much of a loss' hint.

Best regards and have a nice day!

There are more ads than pins now.

Pinterest has absolutely destroyed its own platform with ads. Every 2 pins on my feed there are 4 sponsored posts shoved in your face. It’s beyond ridiculous now.

I’ve used Pinterest for 12 YEARS and the app used to feel creative, inspiring, relaxing, and genuinely useful. Now it feels like one giant billboard designed to squeeze every possible penny out of users.

The greed is honestly disgusting. You search for something simple like recipes, home inspiration, or outfits and most of the results aren’t even what you searched for.

How does a company look at this user experience and think “yes, more ads”? I’m genuinely sad about what Pinterest has become. :(

Can't see secret boards

I opened pinterest today and I cannot see my secret boards anymore? And the filter option where you can reorder your boards is gone too, anyone facing this problem?

Pinterest has moved from my most loved app to most hated

In one fell swoop you managed to label all my original pins non-ai created as "ai modified" you have some real nerve to make these accusations. No I will not report error on all my pins. I will broadcast to my 500k audience and let them all know how you treat your loyal creators over a decade old. I'll be screen shoting this too if you decide to take this down. This mislabeling needs to be addressed NOW. Contact your directors because I'm canceling this company.

Can we finally talk about how Pinterest is literally useless now?

better save all your pins to your phone because i get hundreds of emails saying that my pins i saved are 'adult content' while its literally just a full clothed person standing there.

anyone else?

So, every time I try to move my sections on my boards, one wrong move and they all reset to their original places. Is this a me glitch or an everyone glitch?

What do you use Pinterest for? What's frustrating about it?

I'm a design grad student doing some research on how people find inspiration, and I'm curious what people like or get frustrated about Pinterest these days.

What do you use Pinterest for?

What frustrates you?

Are there any alternatives that you like, or is Pinterest still the best platform for you?

Bye.

I posted a solution for how to remove ads from your pinterest feed and got downvoted for it lol. It was a legitimate and easy to use solution.

So I deleted the post and won't try to help this community again. Enjoy your barrage of ads.

Anyone else got suspended by Pinterest recently for “spam” with no real reason?

Since May 6 my impressions and outbound clicks dropped hard. I contacted support for verification, and they suddenly suspended my account.

Recipe niche, ~1M impressions, almost 2 years of work. I only posted 2–3 pins/day and not even daily. No spam, no automation.

If this happened to you and you recovered your account, please tell me what you did 🙏

How Are People Making Money on Pinterest

My IG feed keeps calling Pinterest a “money printing machine”

Is it actually true?

How are people making money from it?

Affiliate marketing? Digital products? Etsy? Blogs? Faceless pages?

If you’ve genuinely made money using Pinterest, drop some beginner advice 👀

Ads

If pinterest pauses my music while scrolling past an ad even with the sound on it muted i am going to tweak. With the amount of adverts on a full screen my music pauses atleast 10 times in the span of a minute. 🫩
