Has anyone else experienced a massive sudden drop in Pinterest reach/impressions recently?

My account went from around 50K reach to only about 3K, almost overnight. Some of my older Pins that were previously ranking and getting consistent impressions also suddenly dropped.
I contacted Pinterest Support, but they told me my account isn't flagged and basically said it could be normal fluctuations, seasonality, content quality, fresh content, algorithm changes, etc.
I've been working on Pinterest for 3 years, and I've never seen a drop this extreme before.
So I wanted to ask this community:
Has anyone experienced something similar recently? Did your reach eventually recover?
If your account had a huge drop like this, how long did it take to recover, and what did you do?
And honestly, if you've been through this before, did things return to normal, or did you decide it wasn't worth continuing?
I'm trying to figure out whether I should keep putting serious time into my Pinterest account or step back for now.
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced the same thing.

Unable to share my Pinterest board's?

The link I copy to share my Pinterest board is not working. Is this a glitch right now for anybody else? It seems to be a broken link.

Can you tell me what your analytics look like?

Curious about your past 30 days analytics. Mine for the past 30 days is over 1 mil impressions and I'm really curious if others are reaching those numbers. I'm just posting whatever I like, not trying too hard to get engagement.

So many disturbing and p*rnographic ads!

Whenever I open the app, I get ads from AliExpress, etc that are really disturbing. Things like a person holding a severed pig's foot (because I have a pigs board but they are alive cute pics) and ads for caneras where it's two people in bed like they are recording p*orn. I reported it but it keeps showing up.

At my witt's and!

Stop the ads and Pinterest IAS

Help! This is my first post here because I'm fed up with Pinterest ads. I just want to look at my Hatsune Miku pictures in peace 😭 but I keep seeing weird ads. Some are inappropriate, others are AI-generated, and sometimes I want to download images and bam, they're AI-generated too, and the "less AI" option is useless. Oh my god! What's wrong with Pinterest? I really miss my old Pinterest, the one that wasn't so well-known and wasn't full of ads, where there was more creativity. It's so annoying that they hide perfectly fine pins but let these inappropriate ads through.

Pinterest Engagement Groups?

Hi! I am trying to grow my Pinerest account and I was wondering if there are any engagement groups where we can all support each other's pages?

Pinterest creators, maybe it’s time we stop feeding a platform that refuses to support us

I’m writing this as the owner of a large website and as someone who has spent years creating original visual content specifically for Pinterest.

Since May 7, my account and website have been severely affected by the sudden collapse in visibility and traffic that many creators have been reporting.

I have contacted Pinterest. I have followed the recommendations. I have checked my website, my domain, my Pins, my publishing behavior, and everything else that creators are repeatedly told to check.

Months later, my problem is still not solved.

No serious explanation.

No meaningful investigation that I can see.

No clear reason for what happened.

No real solution.

And at some point, creators have to ask themselves a very simple question:

WHY ARE WE CONTINUING TO GIVE PINTEREST FREE CONTENT WHILE PINTEREST GIVES US NO MEANINGFUL SUPPORT WHEN THAT CONTENT SUDDENLY BECOMES INVISIBLE?

My content is not scraped or mass-generated spam.

I personally create the images I publish.

My niche is home decor and interiors.

Over the years, that content has been viewed, saved, shared, and used as inspiration by millions of people on Pinterest.

Pinterest benefited from that content.

Its users benefited from that content.

And yet when my business was suddenly affected on May 7, I discovered how little protection or meaningful support a creator can have when an automated system decides something has changed.

So I’ve made a decision.

I AM PREPARING TO DELETE MY PINTEREST ACCOUNT AND REMOVE THE ORIGINAL VISUAL CONTENT I HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PLATFORM.

And I think other creators should seriously consider doing the same.

Not because we want Pinterest to fail.

Because platforms only understand the value of creators when creators stop providing that value for free.

Imagine if thousands of bloggers, photographers, designers, recipe creators, publishers, artists, ecommerce stores and independent website owners stopped uploading fresh content for one week.

Imagine if the Home Feed suddenly had fewer original ideas.

Imagine if Pinterest had to explain to users, advertisers and investors why the creators who built much of the searchable content on the platform were leaving.

We have spent years worrying about whether Pinterest will reduce our reach.

Maybe Pinterest should start worrying about whether creators will continue supplying the content that makes the platform useful.

This is not about one account.

There are creators reporting massive drops in impressions, outbound clicks disappearing, domains being labeled as spam, Linked Pins receiving almost no distribution, and support tickets ending in generic automated responses.

The worst part is the silence.

If Pinterest has changed its algorithm, tell us.

If legitimate domains are being filtered, tell us.

If there is a technical problem, acknowledge it.

If our content is violating something, show us exactly what.

But creators should not be expected to build businesses around a platform where visibility can disappear overnight and the only explanation is essentially:

"Organic traffic fluctuates."

That is not transparency.

That is not a partnership.

So I’m asking other creators:

IF YOU HAVE BEEN AFFECTED SINCE MAY, SPEAK PUBLICLY ABOUT IT.

Post your analytics.

Document your dates.

Share your support responses.

And if Pinterest continues refusing to address the issue seriously, consider withholding new content from the platform.

A platform built on creators cannot ignore creators forever if creators act together.

I would genuinely like Pinterest to fix this before I delete everything.

But after being affected since May 7 with no meaningful resolution, I no longer believe silently waiting is enough.

If you were hit by the same issue, comment with:

• the date your traffic dropped

• approximately how much you lost

• whether Linked Pins are affected

• whether Pinterest support actually helped you

• whether your traffic ever recovered

• if you recovered, what exactly did you do before the recovery?

Let’s collect the evidence in one place.

Let’s make it impossible to dismiss these cases as isolated incidents.

And if enough of us are experiencing the same thing, maybe the next step shouldn’t be another support ticket.

Maybe the next step should be:

NO ANSWERS.

NO NEW CONTENT.

Irrelevant FYP and non-functioning search bar, anyone?

Tell me someone else is having the same problems I am!

It's been a week since my FYP had stopped working, and now the search bar is dead?

Gives me 'error' every time i try searching for something. I hope this is a just a temporary hiccup.

My search isn’t showing any pins.

Anytime I search something it loads and then the search is black. It doesn’t show me any pins.

Weird Pinterest Account

There’s a popular photo of this “unattractive” person which is very commonly used with memes. When you search the word “ugly” on Pinterest, it’s one of the first photos to pop up. The photo is posted by someone who goes by Teddie Cannoy (@cannoy70).

When I first saw it, I just scrolled by it. A few days later, I decided to go and look at it again. I clicked on the profile and noticed something a bit odd about it.

When you begin to scroll down through their saved boards, there’s a bit of a pattern. Every board is titled with a bunch of random letters - almost like
someone just slid their hands across the keyboard.

When you look through the saved boards, there’s a bunch of photos of random clothes for children. These clothes mainly include tight pants/leggings. There’s some photos of dresses, underwear, bathing suits, etc.

They also have a bunch of random photos of their feet/legs - usually accompanied by food either beside it or on it.

I may be looking too deep into it, but it does give off a weird feeling.

Grew my client's Pinterest account into the millions in 30 days for $50... and he's still saying he's not satisfied

So a client hired me for Pinterest marketing, we agreed on $50 for a month, he confirmed it as final before I even started. When I took over his account, it was basically dead, barely any views at all.

I worked on it consistently for 30 days, optimizing everything I could. By the end, his impressions had jumped into the millions, saves and engagement went up massively, and his audience grew huge compared to where he started. I have the analytics to show all of it, real numbers, real growth, nothing exaggerated.

But even after seeing all that, he's telling me he's not satisfied. He won't really explain what exactly is missing, he just keeps saying he's unhappy. On top of that he's gone cold on me, reads my messages and doesn't reply properly, and he still hasn't left me a review on Fiverr.

This is honestly confusing for me because the numbers speak for themselves. I always put client satisfaction as my top priority, I stay available, I communicate throughout the project. But when someone says they're not satisfied without pointing to anything specific, it's hard to know what to even fix.

Has anyone dealt with a client like this, where the results were clearly there but they still claim they're not happy? How do you handle it when you can't even get a clear reason why?

PSA - use "bad" words to get rid of ADs

If you search with an added "curse" word on the end it gets rid of ADs. For example "fairy shit" instead of just "fairy". For me it stays AD free even when scrolling to related images.

Hope this works for you all!

It keeps tweaking out whenver i scroll

I'd attach a screen recording, but I can't. Essentially, whenever I scroll, it jumps around like crazy, scrolls really, really fast, or randomly moves me back up to the top of the board. Sometimes, the pins start flashing and glitching out.

I know it's not my phone, as this issue only happens on Pinterest, no other apps, and I've restarted my phone a few times to no avail. Is this happening to anyone else?

forgot to reply to an email from pinterest support and now my account is permanently deactivated

last month i made an appeal to pinterest, requesting to have my business account reactivated because of their new update but i got so busy that i totally forgot about it. then today i opened my email to three responses from pinterest support saying that my account will be permanently deactivated on august 17th, 2026 if i don't complete the action to convert my account, and they've already closed out the ticket. their last email was two days ago. 🥲

is there still hope for me to make an appeal to have my account reactivated or am i too late?

What's happened to the header image size?

It used to be this banner that spread across the top of the board. For the past couple of days, it's become this little square at the top, like a Hitler mustache. It results in much of the board title being white-on-white and thus invisible.

Pinterest sucks more every single time I visit the thing, it seems.

i might have stumbled across a really strange and bizarre photo that depicts the use of ai in a graphic way or it's for an art project and i'm scared that if it's actually real...

btw, this happened when i was searching some random normal pfp's just to save em in case when i'll use some cool pfp's... also his account seems to be normal when it comes to his created posts but this is straight up questionable, also i don't know if this subreddit allows me to post links but i'll post a link of the photo in the comments for the sake of analyzing the image if it's fake or it's just an art project

Modified by AI

I was looking on Pinterest about something else (rarely used the website in general) and while scrolling I found a cool looking phone wallpaper containing the summer nature/sea green/cyan colored theme with palms, flora, etc. Clicked on it to see it and there was a "Modified by AI" label.

More similar/suggested images appeared as well and 30 minutes later after browsing back and fort around these amazingly looking wallpapers (95%) "Modified by AI", I saved like 10 of these to use as wallpaper on my phone due to the vibrant colors and the overall cool look. But for a reason I can't fully explain, the fact that AI is involved made me feel uncomfortable and unhappy.

Are these 100% AI generated or it can be just small edits and correction? How can I know the difference? In the past before the AI I'm pretty sure we had the same great nature wallpapers either captured with good cameras or made/drawn by real people.

(can't post images sadly to show examples)

Pinterest is ruined by the ads

Pinterest used to be a safespace for me. It helped a lot with managing my creative ideas, and containing my hobbies and all. It has helped with a lot of anxiety and stress management. I always enjoyed browsing amongst all the pictures. Not mainly the stereotipical "pinterest girly" kind of stuff, but niche fashion and outdoorsy stuff, hobbie ideas, art and so much more.

And lately all of this has changed. First, all the ai content, the visibly not man made art, and later the ads.

Now, the feed is full of ai shows playing, other ads beeing promoted, ads for furniture and links to all kinds of products. And 6 out of 10 pins are these, and not the actual content i would usually be there for.

In the beninging (hope you get this easter egg here hehe) i practiced patience, and hoped that i just have to refresh my for you/feed. But lately, my enthusiasm has left me. It is just too much.

It isn't fulfilling anymore as in it doesn't help me with the stuff it used to. Unless i specifically search for something, the ads just take over. I cannot really brows or surf for ideas, cause there either ain't any new or hardly any aroud all the ads.

So, is it just me being way too dramatic and consumerist or do anyone else also have the same kind of experience?
