I bought my first typewriter

I bought my first typewriter

It’s full of dust and rust, I think ribbon has no ink and bell can’t ring(I think springs are too old).

But I got it for less than 20$, so don’t have any complaints, just trying to experiment with typewriters…

I think it’s Brother Young Elite from 1967, this thing is 2.5 times older than me if that’s the case.

Trying to get the keyboards working is harder than I thought, you need to press it real hard lol, I think I need new ribbon and clean it. But I have no idea where to start even cleaning this thing... platen? I think? the rubber thing that grabs paper is disintegrating too...

Also I thought this was a plastic made, until actually saw it in real life and realized it was heavy enough to be considered personal defense weapon... probably still lighter than most other typewriters maybe

Anyway I'm going to try experimenting with this thing and learn some basics, I do think this is perfect for that

Binary system, both red and orange dwarf. A marine superterra with big rings, tidally locked lacustrine terra both ample with multicellular organism? I think this system is pretty cool?

That superterra with 46 atm with average temperature of 61c... I think whatever is living there must be pretty tough, though gravity seems ok and atmosphere looks pretty close to earth!

On the other hand, this tidally locked planet has pretty good condition, just that it's really goddamn cold(does get warm in star side) and atmosphere is full of oxygen, nitrogen and water, which I imagine fires and oxidation will cause trouble... also it's tidally locked.

I just wonder if both worlds could have intelligent life, not just "multicellular organism" though. I do imagine that lacustrine terra could be good enough for something like civilization to occur around the edges of star side.
