I consider Attack on Titan my favorite piece of media ever, it's quite literally my favorite thing, my special intrest. And you have no idea how infuriating it is to know how fucking stupid the fanbase is.
This fanbase is a mix of "hype moments and aura" obsessed teenagers, and the most illiterate rightoid fucks that you'll ever meet and it's maddening. I sometimes wonder if I watched the same show and read the same book as these people.
This show ended 3 years ago, and the manga ended 5. And these people are still making "hehe what if we spelled Bertholds name wrong" or fucking "10 years at least" and God help you if you don't find Potato Girl jokes funny in big 2026.
Not to mention Gabi discourse oh good lord we can't forget about Gabi discourse. Grow the fuck up and stop getting mad at the fictional 14 year old that had one of the best character arcs I've ever seen on screen. The show literally tells you why getting angry at Gabi and refusing to forgive her is wrong. They fucking spell it out for you but jokes on me, I expected fans of a manga to READ
I realize this phenomenon is not unique to Attack on Titan, I'm sure there's a great many fanbases that have a bunch of unfunny mongoloids in their ranks. however this just hurts me so much that I can't not mention it. This franchise is my favorite thing ever, and I can't even have a normal discussion about it.
