Dog bite
So i got bit by a dog 2 years ago while delivering a package at Amazon the picture on the right is 2 years later. Filed a claim with dog owners home insurance they denied saying it was a sign which was not there at the time. Now I filed a lawsuit and they got a defense attorney within the last month now it’s another waiting game. To see if we will win or not which i was left with PTSD i cannot even be around family dogs. I’ve washed my hands 100% with dogs !! I was out of work for 10 weeks and seen a wound specialist for 15+ weeks !! Also I am a woman!!
Just bought lavender, need advice on keeping it indoors
Hi! I want to start by saying that I am aware that lavender is not an indoor plant but I do not have outdoor space available where it can survive (I live in the city and all I have is a rooftop where everything burns for 3 months a year).
I have an LED grow light right above it for cloudy days as well as a skylight and a glass door that allows for natural light to come in.
What I am wondering is: is there anything I need to keep in mind when trying to keep lavender indoors? Like when to prune it and how much, how often to water it, what nutrients I can use for the soil to ensure it’s not missing anything, etc…
For now they are sitting in clay pots but still in the little plastic containers they came in, should I repot them?
I also have a Salvia plant that has been in the same spot and has been thriving, especially during the heatwave (the only one in the house who seemed happy lol). I water that every 2 days by leaving it to soak in water for about 10 minutes, should I do the same with the lavender?
Thank you for any advice and please be patient with me, I had the opposite of a green thumb my whole life but I am trying to learn!
A bite? Should I be concerned...
Female 42yo 5'2" New Jersey USA (in case you want to help know what bit me ....)
Last night the top of my foot felt sore and itched a little. I made a point to not scratch it. This morning this is what it looks like (with and without flash on). Tender to the touch but not throbbing or itching. As far as I know, I didn't bruise myself here before being bitten. Assuming a spider...
Wtf is this
Hurts like a bitch, my ring finger and middle finger. ESPECIALLY my ring finger. Is this a bug bite? Or what? Burning sensation, looks like theres a bump but its normal, just red af. Pain to the touch, no itch. Happened in the last few hours.
Put on hella natural bug spray but not on my hands LOL. I got some scabbed mosquito bites on my arms and legs from 4+ days ago so maybe im just allergic?
Bite on hand and blood stain. Is it over for me
When I tell you I am scared out of my mind right now you have no idea. It’s 4AM and I cannot sleep because I am so scared of the idea of bed bugs. I may just sleep in my bathtub no joke.
I developed two bites on my hand about 3 days ago and today I found this on my sheets. Not sure if it’s been there before but I don’t remember it. Haven’t found any bugs/skeletons/ anything on my bed so I think it could be a hiker before it potentially spreads.
I have traveled recently. I am so terrified, this is my absolute worst fear ever. I am crying and will call an exterminator for tomorrow morning. Please does anyone have any thoughts on this - your most honest opinions are welcomed. I’m having a nervous breakdown
Tick Bite on child?
Any help would be appreciated!
My 5 year old son was at his Aunt’s farm, I was not present, he was returned to me by his father just before bedtime and apparently was given a bath by them which is unusual. I put him to bed, the next morning I almost fell over when I noticed the three large welts on the back of his calves.
I took photos of them as I found them to be shocking and for future reference. Not itchy and no pain.
The next morning they have grown in size, and have to my eyes what looks to be a pale bullseye pattern.
We are in rural Alberta, a couple hours west of Edmonton.
Apparently there has been a drastic increase in tick activity, the risk for Lyme disease remains low but is not unheard of!
Does this look like a tick bite to anyone else’s eyes!!?
is this a bed bug?!
I work with a ton of animals and have been getting chewed up lately. I always get eaten up every summer by mosquitos but felt like it was happening with a shocking frequency lately, and this thing just crawled on my leg?!
Is this a bite?
I’m unsure of whether or not this could be a bite or a sweat pimple maybe? I did have bedbugs and were supposedly clear now. It’s one dot and it wasn’t itchy. I did try popping it and that only made it hurt so I’m unsure. I do sleep bundled up in long socks/pants and a hoodie so I guess I could see how it would be able to get in and bite me here. So far I’m not seeing any “new” bites except for this.
What is this bug-like thing stuck that was stuck on my leg?
After a short walk I noticed this bug-like thing stuck on my leg. I didnt notice a stinger or anything but it was like either glued on my leg or stuck. My leg just feels sensitive but it could just be placebo. My region is souther california, USA, and I was walking on paved road with decorative plant.
Which bug did this? I'm in the Netherlands and it is very itchy
Is this from bedbugs?
Please ignore the bruises from the gym. I'm daunted to think that the red spots I awoke with yesterday at a hotel are bedbug bites - does anyone have any thoughts?
Since getting home I've hot washed (90 degrees Celsius for two hours) and hot dried all of my clothes, thrown out my suitcase, steamed all other random objects and put other items that cannot be washed or steamed in the freezer.
What do I do about electronics, such as my iPad and hair dryer?
What feasted on me at home in NYC
Happened at home in NYC. Extremely itchy, and some pain at the area of the 3 isolated spots. Feels much different from the usual mosquito bite. What the hell feasted on me?!
Bug Bite, Parasite, or Something Else? Itchy raised bump with a trail
I’m wondering if anyone has ideas of what this could be?
Location: inner, upper, right arm.
I noticed it a few days ago because it was itchy. Not terribly, and not painful, I’d say equivalent to other non-concerning but bites of the past.
The circle part is about 1-1.5 inches in diameter, slightly raised, with a small puncture dot.
The trail is also slightly raised, about 2 inches in length and slightly itchy.
It does not seem to have gotten any larger or worse since I noticed it a few days ago, but the trail part freaked me out a bit.
This morning, I noticed the itching and redness has spread slightly to the back of my arm. Though I can’t say with certainty it’s part of the initial thingy, and the redness could easily be from scratching. I don’t see a full trail connecting it, but you know how dermatological google searches can incite fear.
My wife was sitting on the couch all of sudden sharp pain some kind of bug bite on her arm she freaked out. Didn’t see the bug. It left a dot on the bite? Any idea if this needs medical attention
What bit me
I live in northeast Florida and went fishing a few days ago no I’ve got bites on my foot and the right is kinda swollen, red, itchy and sensitive
Bed Bug bites?
I recently got these bites on my leg and one on my ankle. They don’t itch super terribly, and only itch a little bit. But I did freak out when I woke up. 2 days ago I woke up with just the bite in my ankle (last one) and today I woke up with the three bites, and two on the side/back of my leg.

Photo two, right side of leg

My dad at first said bed bugs, then said mold or heat rashes (apartment has water damage). I asked some friends and 2 of them said mosquitos, one of them didn’t know. What do you guys think?
