Economics teacher issue
I feel so demotivated after scoring 19/30 in Economics. My teacher deducts marks for no reason. He deducted 1–2 marks from each answer, even when the answer was a direct copy from the textbook (which he explicitly asked us to do). He even deducted marks for crossing out mistakes (even though I used whitener over them so they wouldn't look noticeable).
The issue really isn't with me, but with the teacher. Last year, he failed 65 out of 85 students in the 11th grade finals. I can't fathom that 65 students failed to give their best to try to score at least passing marks.
All of this is making me feel so demotivated. I already had doubts about whether I would be able to handle Economics because it contains math, but now, after seeing that I couldn't even score good marks on a purely theoretical test, I feel like a failure.
I had a choice between Geography and Economics. I hate Geography and I fear math. I chose to fight my fear over my hate, but now I feel like I made the wrong decision.
We won't have him in 12th grade, but I feel like by then, I'll completely lose all my motivation and love for this subject. It's breaking my heart because no matter how hard I try in the half yearly and final exams, I'm bound to score terrible marks because of my teacher.
I also feel like, what if he's rightly deducting marks and that I'm not good enough for this subject. What if by the time I realise I'm not made for this subject, it'll be in 12th grade, 2 months away from boards.
I really don't know what to do anymore.
