Salicylic acid vs glycolic acid?

Why do I have these raised spots?? Are they closed comedones?? Pls help me get rid of them and formulate a routine for texture free skin.

Products that I have:

  • Moisturizer: bioderma atoderm creme every night, skipped in the am routine
  • Cleanser: minimalist aquaporin cleanser, dermaco Kojic acid cleanser (occasionally)
  • Serums: minimalist 10% niacinamide, reequil 2% salicylic acid
  • Sunscreen: minimalist light fluid spf 50 (only when I go out)

I use niacinamide and salicylic acid cleanser once every week alternately.

  • Treatment: reequil skin radiance creme every other day (don't use it on the day I use serum)
  • Toner: minimalist glycolic acid toner (just bought it , use it on the underarms, elbows and knees

Up until now since I didn't really go out frequently I used to do skincare only at night and occasionally used any serum

I have just bought the bioderma moisturizer and haven't opened it yet, currently using reequil hyaluronic acid one.

Should I switch salicylic acid with glycolic acid? I have heard that it's kinda harsh on the face so I am currently only using it on my body.

Pls give feedbacks on my routine!! What should I do better??

edit: recently I used marula oil cleaner without following up with a regular cleanser afterwards, this has cause these.

Halim seed is a trendsetter for hair now

Halim was known for its iron level. So, I thought maybe I can dump my iron tablets. I soaked 2 tablespoons of halim seeds in water overnight and had 2 tablespoons of it with lime juice. Looks similar like chia seeds and the taste was awful. Smells and tastes like bad medicine. I had it four times in weeks for 20 days. Yeahh....it works with hairfall and fatigue. But, still I am fighting myself to drink it in the early morning 🫠

asap help needed (underarm issue)

So, I bought Alum stone and i used it yesterday and it was odorless but when i applied it on my underarms it made a smell which is now on my underarms but not on the stone anymore. I reduced the smell and sweat by ALOT but I think i already have trapped bacteria inside because I used a roll on for odor control on dirty unwashed smelly armpits ONCE. its been a week and it only had made the smell worse worse worse.

So pls tell me what do I use to remove that trapped bacteria!! Do I use detoll handwash to remove it as antibacterial? or benzoyl peroxide 5% (but its very unavailable) or perobar (but will come on Monday, I need it by today/tom) or what do I use ?? pps help asapp

Why is it so difficult to find a fragrance free option for body care products in India? 😞💔

Everything is loaded with fragrance, which is irritating for my sensitive skin, I sometimes breakout in rashes from using Vaseline cocoa body lotion. I wish there was a fragrance free variant (body washes, body lotions, body oil) like how they sell in abroad. 😞💔

Is it okay to use an expensive sunscreen for the first application and a cheaper one for reapplication?

Can I use a high-end sunscreen like BOJ, Rilastil, or La Roche-Posay for my morning/first application… and then use a more affordable sunscreen like Dot & Key, WishCare, Foxtale, Plum, or Conscious Chemist for reapplication during the day?

Since reapplying multiple times gets expensive, I’m trying to balance protection + budget. Has anyone here done this long-term? Any issues with protection, layering, or formulation compatibility?

new piercing placement suggestions!

hii! this is my current piercing and i would like to get one more piercing in each ear.

since all of my current piercings are in the lower part of my ear, i would like them to be in the upper part. i find helix rlly attractive but my left ear is folded and hence it wont be visible from the front. so ive been looking for other options where the placement fits the anatomy and it rlly compliments my ear.

ive no issues with both the ears having different placements, but preferably would like them to be same.

pls suggest any good unique placements that would look cool.

thanks \^\_\^

how do influencers get that glass skin makeup look?

i really wanna know how influencers get that super glassy, reflective finish using makeup. my base makeup looks clean and fresh, but it’s more normal glow.. not that mirror like shine you see on instagram

I’ve seen people use things like:
Liquid highlighters (like nykaa glow liquid highlighter or similar ones)
Strobe creams (like hilary rhoda skin shine one or d&k strawberry dew one)
Mixing highlighter into foundation or moisturizer
Applying extra glow on high points (cheekbones, nose, etc.)

do these actually give that glass skin effect, or is it more about layering makeup in a certain way?

Blush reviews

Bought the elf blush in bold faced lilac in this sale and thought of posting all the blush swatches here to help my girlies out, all the shades mentioned are from left to right:

Image 3&4:

  1. Rare beauty in cheer: it's pretty and looks really natural, however, if you have medium to dark skintone , this might look ashy on you. Bought it during the 50% off sale and I like it. The only con is I have to be really careful with this because it's known to break down easily. 7/10

  2. Rare beauty in hope: the formula is AMAZING, love the putty texture and it's highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. This is a little warm for me but otherwise no complaints. The packaging is sleek and it's travel friendly! I also got this on their 50% sale and it's worth it. 9/10

  3. Makeup revolution in rose kiss: Honestly, I cannot hype this blush enough, it's affordable, it's pigmented, the color pay off is great. The only downside, its packaging. The lid comes off easily but I paid around 250 INR for it and for that price it's a STEAL! This is my highly commended powder blush and if you ever get this (or any other shade) on sale, please go for it. 9.5/10 (I just wish packaging was better)

  4. Faces Canada in love vibes only: My first ever powder blush when I had no idea about undertones so this is the most peachy thing in my collection. It's nice too, packaging is cute, small and magnetic which makes it travel friendly. I rarely use this one now but for a beginner it's nice. 7/10

  5. Milani in petal primavera: A friend once told me this was her most complimented blush and I really really wanted to love this but I couldn't. As a fair skinned girlie, i don't reach out for bronzers and this feels like something which is a mixture of a blush and bronzer sometimes. However, while I don't like the color, this formula is gorgeous. If you are someone who likes using blush+ bronzer , go for this. It leaves a slight sheen on your face and you don't need a highlighter for this. It has been discontinued by milani and it's a little hard to find it now. 9/10

  6. Milani in dolce pink: My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE, this is said to be a dupe of nars orgasm (however it has been reformulated now and the shade is different, so if you can get your hands on the older formula, go for it). I would like to warn you girlies that this is a shimmery blush and yes, unlike petal Primavera, shimmers are visible with this one on your face (think of slightly chunky glitters). I love the color, the formula, the packaging, everything. If I didn't own so many blushes, this is something I would have bought backups of! This is the product that won my heart and made me a fan of baked blushes!! ∞/10

Image 5 (all are elf blushes). All of these are dewy and leave a natural slightly glowy look on the face:

  1. Pinky promise: Said to be a dupe of rare beauty Happy , this is a little brighter than happy and of all the elf blushes I own, i dislike this one the most. It's too bright, it applies too patchy, doesn't suit my skin tone. I don't know why but I even hate the formula of this one 2/10

  2. Berry well: Like it, the only complaint is how pigmented this is, use a teeny tiny too much and you end up looking like a clown (or lal muh ka bandar😭). This is a berry shade though I don't know why it looks so red in pic. The color is nice and for people with dark and dusky skintone, this would be amazing 6/10

  3. Suave mauve: My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE shade in liquid blushes! This is a mauve shade (idk why it looks so brown in swatches). I haven't met anyone on whom this doesn't suit, highly recommend it. This is said to be a dupe of rare beauty encourage but I believe that is a little more mauvy than this. 10/10

  4. Dusty rose: A little too warm for me but otherwise this is a beautiful shade too. 8/10

  5. Bold faced lilac: i bought this solely for its cool purple undertones, dusty rose was too warm for me and I wanted something to counteract that warmth but my goodness, even on its own, this is something absolutely gorgeous! This would look amazing on cool and olive toned girlies! Buy this for making your warm toned products neutral or cool!!! 10/10

Images 6&7:

  1. Pixi blush in fleur: This is a decent blush and definitely not something you need to own, formula is... Okay? It looks greasy and oily on the face, doesn't last too long and isn't what I wanted it to be. The color is also okay, this is definitely something you can live without. For the price of 1300, I don't recommend this one. 3/10

  2. MUR in you had me at first blush: First of all, who named these blushes as superdewy, because they don't even leave a sheen and are completely matte, how ironic to name this one not even dewy but superdewy 🙄 I hate this color, I think I got this free from myntra some time back, and the formula of this one isn't nice and dried up fast. Please stay away from this one. 0/10

  3. MUR in you got me blushing: Love the mauvy color, my only complaint is the formula is way too pigmented which makes it hard to work with and the tube is a little impractical since you have to be very careful about how much product you squeeze out. This is not beginner friendly, but before elf suave mauve, this used to be my favorite. Blending is easy with these. 8/10

  4. MUR in flushing for you: This is a good blush, a little warm for me but somehow it gives me a very natural sunkissed look. It isn't as pigmented as above two and you can easily make this work. 9/10

How do I get rid of these?

How do I get rid of these "pimples" on my forehead?? Idek what to call them. I feel like it's partly because of my dandruff but my dandruff has reduced & I feel like these pimples increased. What to do 😭😭

I just use nivea moisturizer on daily basis (the one which is like sunscreen + moisturizer) and I've been thinking of using another moisturizer and sunscreen for my skin. I use Cetaphil cleanser.

I have like an oily T-zone which explains the pimples only being on my forehead.

I don't use makeup only like once a month and that too i use only lakme cc+ cream cuz I'm scared to put a lot of products on my face.

Please help 😭💔
