For context, this guy is my ex boyfriend, and I’ve known him since my engineering college days in 2018. I had a huge crush on him back then. He was pretty popular in college, and although we were from different departments, we were just acquaintances. I obviously never told him...😭

Then in 2022, we somehow ended up doing our post graduation at another same institute. then We started talking, and things just happened very naturally. Eventually, we started dating.

He was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve known. And when I say he made efforts, I don’t mean spending money.

He actually PUT IN effort.

I still remember him making me a bouquet from flowers he picked around campus. It was little things like that that made him special.

We broke up in 2024 after we moved to different cities for work. There was no cheating, no dramatic fight, nothing like that. It was mutual. I wasn’t emotionally available, and I knew I wasn’t giving him the kind of relationship he deserved. So, as painful as it was, we decided to part ways.

It’s been two years now, and we still check in on each other once in a while...maybe once a month. Nothing more, nothing less. He’s been single since then, and so have I

I genuinely have so much respect and appreciation for this guy. ❤️😭

And honestly, his future wife is going to be one lucky woman. 🥹

If you genuinely love someone and you know they’re good for you, don’t take them for granted.

Put in the effort while you still have the chance. Sometimes, you don’t lose someone because the love wasn’t there you lose them because you didn’t know how to hold on to them ( and yes it was me)
