Perinatal psych in Canada?

Hello all! Does anyone know how to work in perinatal psych in Canada without being a psychiatrist? I am trying to figure out the next step for myself. I am debating psych nursing or social work but I’m not sure if I would “specialize” in perinatal. Would love any suggestions! Tia!

Social work jobs for perinatal?

Edit: why are people down voting me for asking a question? :(

Hello all! I am currently living in BC and debating between doing social work or psych nursing. I am very interested in working with pregnant and/or postpartum individuals and trying to find a place for myself in that field. Social work may not even be the right option but I wanted to ask if anyone has any insight or suggestions or insight for me. And before anyone asks, no, I do not want to work in L&D or mother/babe. Thank you!

No healthcare experience?

Hello all! Has anyone applied and gotten in with no background in healthcare? I have a bachelor in the arts (theatre design) and I’m currently a postpartum doula and breastfeeding specialist. Curious if anyone has been accepted without working in hc or hc adjacent for a long time. Thanks!

Any RPNs out there?

Hello all!

Are there any Registered Psychiatric Nurses that would be willing to answer some questions for me? Trying to decide if I should go into the field. Thanks!
