Anzel’s Update 8💕

Today I went to the vet to buy Anzel’s medicines because she already ran out of Cytriboost, Liv 52, and Nefrotec. I also showed her latest photos to the vet, and we talked about how much progress she has made. Her face tumor is now almost non existent in size, and her face shape looks so much better compared to before. 🥺❤️

We will be going back on Monday, May 25, for another check up to see if she still needs another round of chemo.

I also bought Anzel a whole sack of dog food today because I may have underestimated just how much she can eat now 😂❤️ I boiled her favorite veggies, and we also received goodies from one of our kind donors who sent treats and wet food for Anzel.

Thank you so much to everyone for the love, prayers, support, and heartwarming messages. Every single one means so much to us and to Anzel. We are continuously hoping for a miracle and holding on to the progress we are seeing every day.✨

Have a great night everyone!

Anzel’s Update 7❤️

Hello everyone!❤️We are happy to share Anzel’s progress through the weeks. Yesterday, May 11, we brought Anzel for her 4th chemo session. As you can see, her face is becoming more visible, her eyes are more noticeable, and her left eye has improved a lot. The size of the tumor on her face has decreased noticeably!

Before chemo, the vet requested a CBC and blood chemistry test for Anzel. We arrived at the clinic around 1 PM. After a short conversation with her doctor, they informed us that we could pick her up around 5 PM because they still had prior patients to attend to. We decided to go home instead of waiting outside because the weather was extremely hot. Because of this, the fare doubled to 600 pesos since manong driver had to make two trips. I hope you all understand.🙇‍♀️

When we picked up Anzel, the vet discussed her results with us. Her calcium level had gone down a bit, so she will now be taking calcium supplements. They also advised us to continue her medications like Liv 52, Nefrotec, and Cytriboost to help support her body while she responds to chemotherapy. We only bought the calcium supplement for now because we still have stocks of her other medicines.

Anzel was also prescribed Furpecto, which will be given next week as advised by the vet because she currently has ticks and fleas as well.

Yesterday’s expenses reached 9,110 pesos for the vet bills alone:
• Chemo – 3,500
• K9 Calcium – 560
• CBC – 750
• Blood chemistry – 2,500
• Furpecto – 1,800

Other expenses included:
• Transportation – 600
• Shampoo purchased online – 321
• Chicken and vegetables supply – 600

The vegetables have become more expensive lately, but we still want to make sure Anzel continues eating healthy meals she enjoys.💕

Her next vet appointment will be on May 25, two weeks from now.

It is still hard to tell what the future holds, but seeing these improvements gives us hope, and we continue praying for a miracle for Anzel. She has been stronger and more active lately, and every small improvement means so much to us.✨

Thank you so much everyone for showing Anzel so much love and support. Without all of you, we would not have made it this far 🤍

Today, May 4 is Anzel’s third chemo session.

We would like to share some good news. After her second chemo, Anzel has been looking better. She is responding well, and there is a noticeable decrease in the size of her tumor. Her eyes are becoming more visible, and we are hopeful that as we continue her treatment, her other eye will also improve.

As always, she has a strong appetite. She really loves the chicken and vegetables I prepare for her every week, and she already finished her one-week supply, so I will be making another batch for her.

Her medications right now are mainly for support while she goes through chemotherapy. We also bought another bottle of Cytriboost to help support her platelets. She had another CBC before chemo today, and the results were not that good, but we will continue her medications to help her body cope.

I have also noticed that she is becoming more active day by day. Earlier, when we got home, she did not want to go inside right away and spent some time strolling outside. It was a simple moment, but it meant a lot to see her like that.💕

We stayed at the vet for almost two hours, and I paid the driver 400 pesos from Anzel’s fund. Today’s expenses were 750 pesos for the CBC, 3500 pesos for chemo, and 450 pesos for Cytriboost.

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to support Anzel.🙇‍♀️It truly means a lot to us.❤️I will be posting a short video of her in the comments, she was running outside🤍

Today, April 27, Anzel had her second chemo session.

She finished her chemo and we had to wait for more than an hour while everything was being done. Before the session, she also underwent another CBC test. The vet mentioned that her platelets went down a little, so we were advised to continue giving her Cytriboost as a platelet enhancer.

On a positive note, Anzel gained almost 1 kg of weight. I’ve been saying this, she really eats a lot!😁

The vet shared that her chemo may last around 4 to 6 sessions, depending on how she responds to the treatment.

For transparency, here are today’s expenses:

—Chemo and CBC: ₱4,250

—Fare (manong driver waited over an hour): ₱500

—Weekly food (chicken and vegetables): ₱500

We also got her a mesh bed, some treats, and a moringa appetite booster to help keep her comfortable and support her appetite.

Silly Anzel somehow knows when we’re about to bring her to the vet. She hides under the bed and refuses to come out, but of course, she has no choice.😅

Despite everything, we’re just happy seeing her enjoy her food. We know how serious her condition is, but while she still can, we just want her to enjoy every meal and feel cared for.

We hope you understand.

Thank you for keeping Anzel in your thoughts and for helping us provide for her needs 🤍
