Anyone here go from a 2024 S5 Technik to an M340i?
I currently have a 2024 Audi S5 Technik and I’m seriously considering switching to an M340i xDrive
I absolutely love the S5, so this isn’t really about wanting a “better” car, actually I’m more curious about the differences in driving feel, engine/transmission, steering, handling, ride comfort, interior, and daily usability.
For anyone who has actually made the move from a B9.5 S5 to an M340i:
- What do you like better about the BMW?
- What do you miss about the S5?
- Does the B58/ZF8 combination actually feel that much more special?
- How does the BMW compare as a comfortable daily?
- Any regrets switching?
I’m particularly interested in real ownership experience rather than spec-sheet comparisons.

Ps: I am in Canada and in a mountainous region where it snows ..also Technik might be Canadian version I assume it’s called Prestige in US (pls correct me if I am wrong)
