Leaving this here so if anyone searches for “MyGate smart lock” or “MyGate installation problems”

Here’s my full experience:

Took an online demo and sales pitch. Sounded great.
Bought it from Amazon.
Installation was done quite bad and that’s putting it mildly.
The installer forgot to install the manual lock entirely. We had to point it out before he added it.
After installation, he left without giving any demonstration. Didn’t show how anything works. Had to watch YouTube videos to get the basic idea on how manual key works.
No cleaning was done after drilling the door. There was dust and debris everywhere.
There are now big gaps left in the door (looks awful and affects security). Door looks ruined.
All nails used are either bent or already coming out.
The rotatory lock was installed in reverse direction “unlock” actually locks the door, and vice versa.
Raised 3 tickets with MyGate support. All closed without a single resolution or site visit.
Tried leaving an honest 1-star review on Amazon, but they seem to have a tie-up with MyGate. Amazon literally wouldn’t allow it. Waited on customer support for 1 hour, and no one could help. Just continuous redirection with no end.

Final recommendation: Don’t buy it. Go with literally any other brand.
