In NY state, my medicaid renewed for another year until June 2027, but marketplace is saying I no longer qualify after reporting my income.
I didn't work last year because I was in school, but now I am working as a 1099 worker and reported that I was on track to make 50k for the 2026 year. My Medicaid automatically renewed before I reported this income, but I got a notice on marketplace after I reported my income to make sure it was for real because I don't make the 21,000 minimum for a single adult in the city. I am confused. I make 50,000 but 35% of that is going to taxes, and I didn't report that. I'm honestly super confused because the plans available for me are $200 a month with a high deductible. What do I do!?
