Halfway!!!
Doing a past year (my wedding year). If you look close you can see the tiny glints of the embroidery thread I added to the wedding day row, on a bright green yarn day
If you notice that my January rows are a little wider… no you didn’t 🤭

Making my first blanket(s) and it’s getting to unwieldy size. Have 9-10 hours on the road today, so I brought this one along (and my Dramamine because otherwise I can’t crochet in a car)
I’m “beginner plus”. 2025 was my first year crocheting, really (I fooled around with swatches in 2024)
I have struggled with edges, constantly losing count, or even if I did count correctly , I’d accidentally skip a stitch in the new row.
Making a scarf for my daughter (by request! I’m delighted) and I’ve been so careful (note the stitch markers at each end!)
Edited to add: I knew Brochet would hype me up. Thanks for coming through 🥹
Keeping my kid company (nothing dire) and it’s so soothing and pleasant
Not sure about the dark green (60s F) to the bright purply pink (70s F) but I’ve gone too far to turn back now! Part of the beautiful chaos of the temperature blanket I suppose
I’m doing a historical blanket from our wedding year
I got home this week from an amazing romantic trip that was so beautiful but also… I missed this
I asked about ideas for this a few weeks ago. I wanted to mark my wedding day in the historical blanket I’m doing for my wedding year. I didn’t want to change the color of yarn entirely. I just wanted to mark the date somehow.
I ended up using silver embroidery thread, and I held it together with the color that I would normally use (it was cool that day, in the 50s F)
The pictures don’t do it justice. In real life it’s got really pretty sparkly glints, which are subtle but noticeable. This picture is my best attempt to capture it. Also an “in progress” photo
Thank you for all the help and ideas! I did a couple swatches of options.
It’s not actually my anniversary yet. I’m working ahead because I’m going on a romantic getaway. I didn’t want to bring this WIP with me, nor fall behind. So far I’m on track so that when I get home I can go back to one row a day.
I’m going on a trip soon, so I’m working ahead a couple rows a day so I don’t have to take it with me, and I won’t have fallen behind when I’m back
This is a moss stitch blanket using high temps from the year we got married
