Excessive play biting
So I have a 21 month old American bully that I adopted in April. I love him so frikkin much y’all! He has the best personality and goofy smile and I absolutely adore his tiny little bottom lip hahahaha….
BUT the boy will not softly play for crap!!! Bully’s are notoriously stubborn and he very much is. So how can I get him to stop the hard playing?? When I tell you I’m all bruised and scratched up from his play biting and clumsy toddler energy. I do redirect to toys/beef bone and I always give a stern verbal command but he just looks at me like the meme of the little girl in the yellow raincoat running with a popsicle and keeps going. I will prompt 3x’s and then verbally tell him he’s going to time out and he stops all bad behavior and within minutes he’s back to beating me up- then he does actually go to time out… but what else can I do?!?! Any techniques I should try with him?? And when I say stubborn I mean he will dead stop in the middle of the street if I don’t take him to walk in the direction he chooses. All of that to ask for as much help as possible.
