How do I open up the Ethernet port on the 7 Pro?

How do I open up the Ethernet port on the 7 Pro?

I know it seems like a stupid question, but I just don’t wanna break it lmao.

Whenever I try to push it down with my finger I need so much force it seems like it’s about to break and I just give up. Same story whenever I try pushing it with the ethernet connector itself.

I keep seeing mixed comments EVEYRWHERE, including google, reddit, and AIs, saying it’s right to push it down with your finger and wrong to do it with the connector AND vice versa. I don’t know what to believe anymore so I am making this post.

The port being extremely strong is also a bit confusing, given that my dad’s Lenovo Thinkpad also has an ethernet port that looks the exact same, but goes up and down easily without any sort of force whatsoever.

Thanks!

Concerns about high CPU temps for Legion 7 Pro

Hello everyone, I just recently bought my first gaming laptop, the Legion 7 Pro, with these specs:
- 5080
- 64 GB Ram
- Ryzen 9 9955HX3D
- 2 TB SSD

This laptop has been absolutely amazing when it comes to gaming performance, its biggest feature so far being able to run Cyberpunk 2077 with max settings + Path Tracing (including FG 4x and DLSS Quality) at around 150-200 fps depending on the situation.

However, this is where the problem appears. When checking the temps while in game, CPU temps SKYROCKET depending on cooling mode.

In Performance Mode during heavy gaming (Red power button):
- CPU 93-98 C, with very rare 100 C spikes
- GPU 70-83 C (I think this should be normal)

In Quiet mode during heavy gaming (Blue power button):
- CPU 66-70 C
- GPU 55-60 C

Balanced mode is similar to Performance mode in the gaming test.

When idle, the laptop sits at these temps:
- CPU 45-55 C
- GPU 40-50 C

These temps were recorded in Lenovo Vantage, with the laptop plugged in and while using conservation mode. The laptop was also sitting on a flat, wooden surface. Raising the back did not help.

That being said, are these temperatures normal? I couldn’t find anything relevant online, and Gemini and ChatGPT say these “can” be normal, given that the HX3D laptop chips are very powerful and Lenovo engineered these laptops to survive these temps, but I’m not sure if I trust this info. The laptop is also brand new, bought 2 weeks ago, so I doubt there’s any previous damage to it.

In any case, I was wondering if I should get a cooling pad for whenever I want to play games in Performance mode, such as the LLANO V12 ULTRA. I heard really good things about this specific cooling pad, such as being the only effective one.

If you reached this far into the post, thanks a lot for reading and helping me out!
