I beat Galactic Pinball and it’s pretty good

This game is pretty fun and satisfying. I haven’t played a pinball game for almost a decade and it feels so weird that it’s been that long and played this just fine.
I got used to the slippery puck and it definitely took practice and honestly it was pretty intense but in a good way.

I love the sound effects and music the game makes and how it feels so cool to listen to. The samus reference was pretty adorable.

One thing I hate but found it funny is that there’s a chance the puck can drop into the middle down and there’s nothing you can do about it. This happened to me one time after I finished the samus stage and it dropped the puck dead in the center and fell straight down, like bro what? luckily I had a center post to bounce it back.
The center post and super kickback really helped me on some tough and desperate situations.

I’ll definitely check out the other stages too!

No more neck pains

I can finally play my virtual boy on my bed comfortably. Before this, I’d put a brief case on my lap, put the vb on top and I still needed to hunch down to play. Not anymore! I can also move it to my desk to play it too!

I got this adjustable over head tripod on amazon and I also bought a 3d printed vb tripod mount for it aswell and they were pretty easy to install. I put a double sided tape where you tighten the tripod to the desk for more grip and strength.

This honestly looks cool on my desk.

Saves are gone because I lightly tapped the battery pack while it’s on?

Sad that I lost all my saves on my zero racers cartridge. I even had some records in there.

Is my battery pack the reason why I lost all my saves? I tested a power receiver pack to power on the vb and it works flawlessly. While I was playing, I lightly tapped the controller on my desk and it turned off. I turned it on again and all my saves are gone. Actually, when i slightly move the battery pack while playing, it will turn off, is this normal? The metals on the back of the battery pack look a little dirty so is it save to clean it with isopropyl alcohol and make it work again and not turn off so easily anymore?

I brought my virtual boy at work for lunch break

I wanted to see how good it is to play my vb outside my home.

I 100%ed Zero Racers!

I love this vb game! Getting rank 1st on all 15 duct courses on master difficulty is so rewarding.

I haven’t beaten a main line f-zero game and this one is my first.

I like that in master difficulty it really keeps you on edge. The other mean machines consistently catch up with you and they almost never let you stay in rank 1st for a short while. Very challenging and fun.

The unlockeable vehicles are an awesome bonus too!

This is my new favorite virtual boy game.

I made Zero Racers full box art (front, back and spines) and a Label for it.

I made this in mspaint. The empty vb full cover box and empty label I used here came from a post from planetvb website.

I wrote the description on the back on my own and is slightly inspired by the zero racers magazine.

I made this because I love the game and I want to have a physical game box to put on my vb shelf, though I'm still searching online for someone that is willing to print the front, back and all spines for it.

I finally got my copy of Zero Racers!!

The hype for this game is so worth it. I received my copy this morning but I couldn’t open it yet because I had to go to work all day today. I got off of work at 10:45pm.

This game’s controls plays really good! Turning and cutting corners never felt better, it’s been a while since I played a racing game. So far this game is so polished and the sound track is absolute fire🔥.
The way you race in the tracks with no music but just the sounds of other racers is just so unbelievably cool. Racing on the final lap gets me so hyped for the win.

It blows my mind how good the virtual boy can handle this game. The frame rate is so good it’s unreal. This might be my new favorite virtual boy game.

I can’t wait to play more Zero Racers on my day off!

I wish I had 8 arms just so I can hold more drinks and plates

I’m tired of going back and forth getting drinks and plates and wasting too much precious time. It would be a dream if could to grow 8 arms to hold everything and go to tables in one trip.

Normally I can hold 3 adult cups in one hand so i could theoretically hold up to 22 cups. As for plates, I can hold up to 4 medium plates in one arm so i could also theoretically hold up to 32.

This would save so much time to help me go to other tables that are waiting for their orders.

Retroarch recognizes my usb encoder and immediately disconnects it?

I’m building an arcade cabinet that will be powered by my ps1 classic. Problem is that the usb encoder doesn’t connect properly. It recognizes it, says its not configured and immediately disconnects it. The usb encoder I bought from amazon is a ShanWan GAMEPAD by SJ@JX and it’s a “san” type.

I connect the usb encoder to my pc and it works perfectly fine and recognizes it. Even retroarch on pc works well although it’s strange that the name is different. It’s called “Retro-Bit Tribute 64 - USB (D-Input)” on retroarch pc.

I connected to an otg cable and still no dice. Is there a way to make so it doesn’t disconnect? Thanks!

SF2CE keeps cutting off the music randomly

Hello! I’ve tried to toggle everything in options and still no luck. The music cuts off randomly when I win or lose, it sometimes restores the music but the problem still persists.

The core i’m using is MAME 2003 Xtreeme

Is there an option that fixes this issue? Or another mame core that stops the issue? Thanks!

I finally defeated all optional bosses!

I thought this dungeon was going to be astronomically difficult and it sure was so this time I experimented with what jobs and abilities I have available to go through. I think I made an easy strategy! For the last 2 battles in this dungeon atleast…

The strategy I made:

3 spiritsmasters and 1 darkknight. (All mastered)

Have 2 spirit master have commerce & medication job commands. As for the support abilities for the 3 spiritmasters: make them each have 1 bp limit up, speed limit 20 or 30% and one of them have the hasten world.

Make the darkknight the strongest physical attacker in any way you can.

The start of battle:

Immediately use stillness + fairy ward (keep using fairy ward and stillness when it wears off). Next use compound to make everyone double max hp

Next is when you are ready for the attack: use compound and make the darkknight’s atk&magatk rise. Next use pay to pay on the darkknight 1 or 2 times. Use adaptation on all four party members. Finally when the stillness wears off, make darkknight use dark nebula 3 or 4 times. Repeat this until the battle is finished.

It’s extremely important that you maintain fairy ward at all times during battle and maintain adaptation on all four party members at the right time (do not use dark nebula if you don’t have adaptation on one or all 4 party members). After each attack, use stillness to recover bp.

This was the strategy I came up with. I hope it’s easy enough to read and understand and hope it might help someone in need. I feel so relaxed now that I defeated them all😌

I’ve finally beaten Test Chamber… what an amazing game!

This virtual boy game is a masterpiece. I enjoyed every bit of it and I’m so glad I solved all 10 puzzles on my own without any help on the internet. The puzzles were so fun and had me think creatively! The last puzzle in the game was a huge head scratcher for me and there were zero solutions online. I had to think outside the box on my own and I finally solved it. It felt so good getting the ending let me tell you.

Thank you PizzaRollsRoyce for making this! Hope to see you make more amazing virtual boy games!
