Conspiracy Theory: Daredevil, Fearless Fighter wasn't supposed to be Daredevil.

This is something I've been thinking about since the card was revealed. I love [[Daredevil, Fearless Fighter]] as a concept and I do agree it thematically works with him getting hurt all the time, but there is no way he was the best character fit for this card mechanically.

Penance is a more obscure character but if you know the original Civil War plotline he should be familiar. He does have a card in the set, but as [[Speedball, New Warrior]]. This was his persona before the incident that started the war. Speedball's flavour text is likely a reference to this.

Penance's ability was kinetic shockwaves amplified by personal pain. The more he hurt, the stronger the powers. To that extent his suit was basically an iron maiden with spikes on the inside. I don't think I need to explain why it's appropriate for Daredevil's first ability. You hurt yourself to deal remote damage. Daredevil's second ability is a little harder to parse but it was likely just there as a way to make the deck more functional.

Penance is probably one of the more recognisable figures to not get a card (at least in this persona) and out of the others, they pretty much all fall into one of the categories that seem to be absent enough to indicate they're getting their own set (either Supernatural, Cosmic, X-Men, or likely What If?). So my conspiracy theory is that the card was originally designed as Penance, and then to make it more appealing they slapped a Daredevil skin on after the fact (likely before designing the Jumpstart pack in full). As a result Penance got overlooked from all sets.

Help with making the dumbest proxy deck.

One of the first Jumpstart packs I opened was the Great Lakes Avengers pack which had this weirdo in it which got me wondering.

What's the thinnest material I can use in a standard inkjet printer that will make opaque cards? I don't mind them being a fair bit washed out, and I don't mind them being floppy, I just want to get the height of the 100-card stack to be as low as possible.

Any ideas for this ridiculous project would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the most "Um, Actually..." Vorthos deck possible, and I can't wait to build it. (Spoilers for God of War and Assassin's Creed)

Stan Lee as Cid, Timeless Artificer

Full ZIP: https://drive.google.com/file/d/169SKcy0qbKbWb-66VRo_m37sa2--e-4c/view?usp=sharing

With Marvel spoilers right around the corner we're about to get a huge amount of support for Cid, Timeless Artificer. It felt strange though for a Final Fantasy card to be so overwhelmed by Marvel cards, so I decided to fix it.

The ZIP contains thirty-five prints, all using screenshots of Stan Lee's various cameos which should be more than enough for any Cids deck you could want. I've also included a template cards with an empty art box so it's easy to add your own art if you wish.

More Garfield renders, testing to see whether a full deck is viable.

I sorted instants and sorceries by EDHREC rank and went with the two twelve, three were already printed in Garfield style (Counterspell, Plowshares, Dark Ritual) so I skipped them.

In honour of the new series, Game Changer X MtG

[[The Game-Changing Host]] is a non-legal playtest card made as a reference to Sam Reich, while Samuel Dalton is a reskin of [[Myra the Magnificent]]. I also included the raw card border if you wanted to make your own card in this style.

Hitting yourself with John Benton

I've been building a [[Sergeant John Benton]] deck and there's one weird interation that I want to understand before I include it.

Say I use [[Blood of the Martyr]] to redirect an unmodified John Benton to hit myself for two damage. I am both Benton's controller, and the player it hit for combat damage. So do I draw four cards since it always affects both players, or do I draw only two since "you and that player" equals one player?

Myra is one of my favourite decks and I figured it was time to add a little flair to it. The idea of using Caine came very quickly, then I remembered the voting screen on one episode and figured it'd be perfect to represent the attraction lights.

For all of the attraction proxies I went for the variant with the highest value lights to work best with things like Wyll, Blade of Frontiers that can ignore lower rolls. I've included templates at the end of the gallery if anyone wants to make more, the font is Jouzu Regular.
