The possible future of Rooster Bold (Secret Protocol + the entire season 6 and possibly further)

Original title since I couldn't put it there -

Theory: Rooster Bold is a double agent working for the "real Marinette" and pretending to work with Chrysalis (keep reading to know what "real Marinette" means)

This theory is connected to sentinette theory by @DesignTracker894 on Twitter/X and provides crucial context for this post. Enjoy ♥️

Rooster Bold is a double agent, pretending to work for Lila whilst working directly with the real Marinette.

I suggest the fake uncle Wang in Secret Protocol was accually Rooster Bold. Why?

  1. He can give himself shapeshifting as a power and then get akumatized. This would mean there's no double akumatization since we don't know if this is possible and explains why deakumatizing Kung Food left us with "Uncle Wang"

  2. This gives an answer to the poster above of why it was a part of the leak and why the Rooster would matter in SP.

  3. A Rooster Bold would be athletic enough to enter through the window in Marinette's room before activating the baby alarm and then going back to the guestroom.

  4. Lila oftentimes says "you won't know anything about us", which likely means she's not working alone.

  5. Rooster Bold would be the so called traitor we are aware of from season 7's synopsis.

Now even if you know the sentinette theory (but you must still have read everything for this to make sense), here's why Rooster Bold is a double agent and what this could potantially mean:

The real Marinette would let Marc in on the entire plan - from revealing her identity to him, telling him the new Marinette/Ladybug is a bait to lure out the butterfly holder, that Marinette will from now on be Diana as a disguise, to learning of Marinette's secret superpower due to being a sentihuman of being easily convincing unless your lie is exposed. Marc Anciel can work just like Rena Furtive - works in secret directly with Ladybug, knows a lot more than your average Miraculer and his job is gathering intel on the new holder and being doing counterintelligence alongside counter spying to Lila.

The real Ladybug would even probably let him sabotage her place-in Marinette and spy on the hero's team for Lila just to get closer to Chrysalis.

Why our boy Rooster Bold?

He's "not close" to Ladybug enough to be suspicious when suddenly Rooster Bold seemingly offers himself as an insider between the Miraculers to spy for Lila, has a perfect miraculous for spying (invisibility, super ability and speed and whatnot).

But remember, Rooster Bold is still working with Ladybug, just not the one we see on screen all the time, but the real Marinette working from the shadows.

I also imagined their secret 2 person plan to be called like "Operation fisherman" - Real Marinette is the fisherman, Fake Marinette is the bait, Butterfly Holder is a fish and Rooster Bold is the fishing rod.

Overall, I think this theory not only explains a lot of mysteries we still have, perfectly fits with the sentinette theory (which I strongly believe in) and would make for an amazing arc for our forgotten hero who MIND YOU is the ONLY miraculer to never get a transformation sequence to this day. After all his miraculous is hella strong if you can give yourself any superpower you wish for.

If this theory is true we could see a lot of screentime from Rooster Bold very soon (maybe even in Nemesis, even if from the shadows to us for now).

Additionally, here's what a typical mission of "Operation fisherman" could look like:

\- Marc: So, we're gonna stage your akumatization as Diane.

\- Real Marinette: How would it work?

\- Marc: Simple. We're gonna perform for the butterfly a little scene. We're gonna think of how you get akumatized, what you're gonna do, where you're gonna be and how this will end. Then, since I know all that's gonna happen beforehand, I will report it to New Hawkmoth as Intel. Meanwhile, whilst the New Hawkmoth thinks I'm in the field reporting everything, I'm gonna spy on the Butterfly Holder at the exact same time the Butterfly thinks I'm currently spying on you and reporting everything to them. That way, they won't suspects me and instead think I'm working for them.

\- Real Marinette: and since the New HM thinks you will be spying on me they won't suspects you spying on them at that time, and you will be truthfull since you planned the entire akumatization to play out how you want it, meaning your Intel to New HM will be correct and convincing. Genious.

Sidenote: this theory does rather fall apart without the sentinette, since there is no "real Marinette" for Rooster Bold to work with and be a double agent for, because she woudn't be that terrified of fake uncle Wang if she knew this was shapeshifted Rooster Bold.

Without a "Diane" to work with, Marc would simply be a traitor, which makes little sense and would be uninteresting if true, since what would happen to push a hero to work with the enemy? Something off-screen or something we haven't seen yet? Rooster Bold simply has too little screen time and reason to betray the Miraculers. Meanwhile, working as a double agent gives him a reason to "betray" Ladybug and make for an interesting story.

How does Tito work?

I was preety certain once you boost a city's economy past 70 money you get the Finance boost. This would mean the economy counter should say 96 and not 80, since 80 = $50 from perk and $30 from city.
