Posting my before and 1 WPO results. I had an extended TT with MR and lipo 360. No kids, I had an extreme weight gain in 2021 due to illness and high doses of prednisone. I had gained 50 lbs in 2-3 months, all of which was in my belly. I lost the weight but was left with an apron. 5’7” 188lbs day of surgery. 12 lbs of skin removed, 3L of lipo. I wish I had done this years ago, but I thought I had to lose more weight first. At my consultation my surgeon assured me I didn’t need to.

Days 2-4 were a nightmare, but I’m starting to see the light. I’m now 10 dpo and getting around better, standing straighter, and in a lot less pain. My main complaint at this time is my back pain from hunching. I have MR pain and drain discomfort but no incisional pain. This surgery is not for sissies. I thought I had read enough here and was mentally prepared, but I have been truly humbled. I know we all have varying experiences and healing is not linear, but I’m already seeing progress in many ways. It does get better!

At my 1 week follow up my surgeon said I’m healing better than some of his patients who are 2-3 weeks out. I really attribute this to making sure I had at least 120g protein daily for 1 month prior to surgery and after, I’m also drinking Juven twice daily. Other than that, I don’t think I’m doing anything particularly special. I woke up with a binder and lipo foams and I’m wearing it 23-24 hours a day.

Absolutely life changing surgery, I only wish I’d done it sooner and that’s coming from someone who is still in the trenches! A huge thank you to everyone here who posts and comments. I learned a tremendous amount (and spent a tremendous amount on recovery supplies 😉) because of all of you. 🩵
