I just got the ELEGOO Mars 5 Ultra, and I was wondering if protecting the LCD screen is something necessary/advisable from the begining.
Also, I've seen some users menting some difficulty removing the prints from the build plate, so I'm considering getting a flexible/magnetic build plate to make removal easier.
What have been your experiencies with screen protectors and flexible plates on this printer? Any tips or recommendations?
I just think some third party producers are trying to take advantage of the Legendary Super Saiyan SH Figuarts shortage to increasing the prices. This is unacceptable. It is basically the N&T Goku figure with different colors, which were sold for $40 (and far from be worth it).
The pic is from the Living Lux Store, so it's legit that this is the final product. Just be careful if you preorder it waiting for something more premium according to its price.

I'm having troubles with my ELEGOO MARS PRO.
I'm not sure what is wrong here. Firmware is up to date (latest version from their site), but I'm stuck on what seems like a basic calibration issue.
When I calibrate the Z-height manually (using the paper method), go back to Tools menu, hit the "Set Z=0" button and confirm... everythings seems to work, but it doesn't.
Every single time I hit the Home button after that in the calibration menu, the build plate just slams down to the bottom limit switch like nothing happened. It completely ignores the Z-offset I just set.
I followed the ELEGOO official manual, YT tutorials, rebooted the printer... nothing seems to work here. As far as I kown, the secuence goes like:
