I’ve listened to the most recent 300 episodes, and i’ve been listening to the omnibus lately, now up to around where comic book men is about to air, so just about 100 episodes in.

There are so many jokes made about mike not being funny on the most recent 300 episodes, and I figured it was overblown for the laughs…

Holy SHIT this guy sucks. I’ve been listening to all the side stuff thats in the omnibus because its usually important context later, and its obvious why only a couple of I sell comics episodes are on here. I just listened to one of the Smorning shows he was on and it’s reached a point where its almost unbearable. Nothing he adds is funny, he constantly interrupts, he whispers into the mic while other people are talking so you can’t hear what they’re saying, its awful. He makes Gitem look like the shining star of podcasting.

All that time I thought the guys were playing up how bad he was, now I actually think they put a positive spin on it.

As somebody who picked up TESD around episode 500, ive gone through and listened to everything back to 300, but now i’m listening to the omnibus and starting with the episode 1 to catch up on the back half. One thing i really have enjoyed is reading the discussions about each episode, they’re like time capsules in a way, but these old episodes were all talked about on the old view askew boards which went the way of the dinosaur. Are there any relisten threads or anything like that for these?

This was sparked by listening to episode 27 and hearing walt and bry argue for an hour about bry not getting the $50 gift card hes been talking about for weeks (that walt has been chiding him not to promise because he doesnt think he’ll follow through), I thought it was pretty funny and wondered how that was received then or even now during relistens.
