A while ago, I posted some pictures of a home base I made inspired by the Palace of Nestor ruin that is added by the Better Ruins mod. Since then, I expanded the base and made a few additions, so I figured you people would like to see it.
A few days ago, I posted a house I made inspired by the Palace of Nestor ruin added by the Better Ruins mod. That was in Creative Mode, and I decided to try bringing it to my Survival Mode world.
I am quite happy with the end result.
I think I had to fire my beehive kiln almost 10 times to get all the necessary materials, as well as chop down a dozen walnut and oak trees.
I apologize if this is something that was explained in canon, perhaps in a sidestory I didn't read.
Given that the federation's ideology arose from a pandemic, and the entire aversion to predators is a subsequent development from their attempts to prevent another pandemic from breaking out, I wonder if tjis has also been reflected in their culture surrounding funerals.
What I mean is that I could imagine the federation pushing cremation as the "ideal" form burial, as well as shunning funeral processions and other rituals that would expose large numbers of people to the deceased's body, fot fear of spreading PD. Or maybe just a much bigger revulsion at the sight or depiction of dead bodies in general.
