Ao Ashi Brotherfoot to end in volume 6

Kobayashi announces that starting July, Brotherfoot will turn to weekly and will end by volume 6. He has already drawn until Volume 4.

Note: Volume 2 was released last month.

Below are some interesting points from the thread that I picked out:

• Katsutani says they contribute a lot to Yugo Kobayashi’s painstaking research of soccer, but they replicate the movements by researching actual youth players for dynamic scenes not seen in the manga
• Anime spoilers: >!And now a clip from episode one of season two featuring Ashito’s feelings upon joining team A. The scene of the team passing looks incredible Though yeah Ashito and Kuroda get tossed off the field almost immediately as Ashito goes from being frustrated by not being seen to admiration for the team.!<
• So the anime team actually has a diagram that shows a Birds Eye view of the characters as a reference. Katsutani notes that the manga focuses on characters directly but the anime has to depict the entire field so they have to recreate the entire game
• Katsutani confirms and we got a clip of motion capture used to help animate the series. They shoot people playing soccer and then via a monitor and 3D software recreate the movement for animation.-
• Katsutani said their aim with season two was to not just replicate but illustrate the visceral feeling of watching an actual soccer match.

Personal observation, but everyone I know who went to the panel and watched the first few minutes of the first episode of the 2nd season all said the animation was really good. I'm honestly excited, I hope they manage to keep up the quality of animation for the whole season.
