Does anyone else get absolutely blitzed by brass shavings?

My mini-14 is throwing like shavings of brass out of the action at me. It normally wouldn’t bother me, but last night there was enough to cut my cheek, which is surprising.

I have a Velos LBP can on it to provide some context. It also flings cases like it’s no one’s business. Any ideas as to why it’d be throwing brass shavings at me?

I am feeling really sad about grades in clinical years and feel that I suck. Please reassure me.

I am struggling so hard on my first clerkship: internal medicine.

Things just don't make sense to me. I suck at making problem lists and plans. I can talk through differentials when prompted, but generating them and what to do is tough. On top of that, I struggle with patient management and just learning the story of each patient coming in.

Please tell me it gets better.

For reference, I am interested in heme/onc, allergy/immunology, and ophthalmology.

I've been told my fund of knowledge is great, but my presentations and problems and A/P could use significant work. It takes me so long to read up on conditions and plans when the need to read comes up (which makes it impossible to finish my notes or prep good presentations for afternoon teaching sessions). This time sink of plans and reading also eats into my time to check up on my patients in the afternoon.

I feel like I am drowning and that attaining a HP or H is useless for me now, which scares me because ophtho is pretty competitive.

Please tell me it gets better.

Sincerely,

A med student on 6th week in wards total

As of the last 3 days, Fortnite has randomly been crashing my PC. No errors at all, the computer just immediately cuts off. My friends are all thinking it’s the PSU, and I just wanted to get some opinions on whether y’all think it’s the PSU and/or what I should buy to replace this PSU. It’s funny because it only seems to be Fortnite. I ran 3DMark Time Spy just fine and have played CSGO without issues. It’s just Fortnite that dies. When Fortnite crashes the computer, I have to unplug the PSU and cycle it on/off before I can boot the PC. Otherwise, just pressing the case power button doesn’t work.

I also have been running my RAM at 4800, but when I press the preset in the BIOS to run the higher clock speed (6600), the computer refuses to boot. Is that possibly also related to the PSU, or am I messing something up?
