I finally got Spikes new tank and put it together. I hung the heat lamp and his uvb light bar. My ambient temp is about 80 on the cool side. I just went and purchased a light for his basking side. Since we just moved I have to find my temperature gun to see where we stand on his heat levels. I only have one digital thermometer probe.
I accidentally cracked the bottom of Spikes tank while moving. I am afraid he will hurt himself if he digs to the bottom. I borrowed money from my savings to order a new tank. It’s bigger and comes with a stand. I have temporarily put a barrier of cardboard at the bottom to prevent any injuries. Has anyone else had this happen? We are moving houses and I was spending the night in the new house. No way I was going to leave him alone. I love him so much. Is there anything I can do better while I wait for his new tank?
Spike has started to climb up his tank using the cork bark that I added. Is this normal or do I have a confused lizard?
Can anyone help me identify what kind of Uromastyx that I have? I got it in late March and have an appointment for a vet checkup this Thursday.
