If I'm a beginner, what should I prioritize for protecting my paint? Polish? Sealant?

Hey everyone, really confused on how to protect my paint AFTER washing. I've read the wiki and all the posts but there's a lot of information to take in and I have a VERY limited budget so trying to figure out what to prioritize.

For now should I just wash and apply a sealant? What would be best

Hey everyone!

I'm a noob at auto detailing. I've already made a few posts here asking for advice and it's improving every time.

I am struggling because there are still specs and bug juice etc etc still stuck to my car after a good self wash.

My process:

Power washer rinse -> Soak in BH Touchless (2% PIR, 5 minute soak) -> Power washer rinse -> Big Red Sponge apply ONR (1 cap per 1 gallon, 5 minute soak) -> Power washer rinse -> Drying towel
