How much of your PS do you have to change for a reapp?

I’m planning on reapplying (on a waitlist, but school starts next week so I don’t have much faith).

I applied to a couple of schools in mid March (2026) and received 2 II, ultimately resulting on a WL (I had a low MCAT score). I want to reapply now while it’s still early in the new cycle. How much should I change about my PS?

I did hire someone to go over my personal statement and I do love it. It helped me get two interviews even with my late app.

I have 3 activities to add (1 work/clinical experience, 1 for clubs from undergrad and 1 volunteer experience in my community).

My question is: do I actually have to chance my personal statement? And if so, how much?

Admissions office closed for the week

Just saw on IG that all LMU-DCOM offices will be closed June 29 - July 3rd and opening again on July 6th. Guess thats the end of the waitlist besides for any orientation week seats.

What helped you get off the waitlist?

As the title says! If you were on the waitlist, whats something you did that you think made a big difference on getting an acceptance?

Re-App while on the waitlist?

I’m currently on the waitlist for one school. It starts the first/second week of July. Should I reapply now for a new cycle anyways? For context:

I applied in mid march with a low mcat score from January. I applied to 10 schools and received 6 secondaries (completed 5), received 2 interviews. First school was a rejection, but they stated their waitlist was full. Second school is what I’m on the waitlist for now.

The entirety of my app is great, besides my mcat. I was told by several Admissions members that my app and story balanced out my mcat. Is it worth doing my re-app now or waiting until mid July?

I would re-use my personal statement since I dont have any big updates since March/April and I love my PS, only a few schools saw it.

Any advice?

Accepted Campus/Switching?

Has anyone been accepted to Knoxville/OP recently? How has waitlist movement to switch campuses been?

What else can I do? Waitlist Warrior

I’m on the waitlist at LMU-DCOM and I’m really struggling since it sounds like theres been 0 waitlist movement this week.

This is my only waitlist and I’m really trying to avoid a re-app.

For context:

I interviewed 5/1

Waitlisted 5/12

Letter of intent sent: 5/18

I’ve called twice, once before the LOI and the second time this week and the admissions coordinator was unhelpful and rude.

What more can I do? Should I send a continued letter of interest? Should I send an update email?

Waitlist Calls?

Hi hi! I’m curious if anyone has noticed a trend on what day of the week or what time of day LMU-DCOM usually calls when an applicant moves off the waitlist to an A? Is it completely random? I feel like I’m going crazy constantly checking, so any sort of insight would help! Thanks!
