35 cm scar
Anyone else here with a 35 cm scar (reversed L from nipple upwards turning left until the armpit) after an onkoplastic breast surgery ?
If so, how are you dealing with it physically and mentally ?

I had a 3 cm tumour (upper inner quadrant) and some DCIS (they didn't measure it, it was just found near the tumour during biopsy). The 2nd 2,5 cm mass in a different quadrant (lower outer quadrant) turned out to be benign thx god (but they removed it anyway at the the same surgery).
Looks that from surgery technique point of view this is a rather complex situation and I'm truly thankful that they could save my breast (had also clear margins and free sentinel nodes), but I'm also devastated.
They had to move a lot of tissue and reposition the nipple to fill the huge gap. The scar is so big (reversed L, 10x 15 cm) and I lost so much tissue 211 + 51 mg). Went from a small D to a solid B and it will probably shrink further during radiation :-(
I feel I'm ungrateful and superficial as it's a cosmetic problem while others are fighting for their lifes. Nevertheless I see the shocked faces from nurses and ladies at the gym. Is there anyone here who was in a similar situation ? And how did you cope with it ?
