Is my £600 “British Shorthair” actually pure? His tail looks wrong

Got him a couple of weeks ago, he’s about 13 or 14 weeks now. Paid £600 for him as a British Shorthair.

I’ve been looking at other BSH online and his tail is nothing like theirs. Theirs are thick the whole way down with a rounded end. His is long and thin and comes to a point, more like a normal moggy.

Is the tail something that fills out as he grows, or does it mean he isn’t pure? He was advertised as being pure. From the uk , bought on pets4homes.

How much did I mess up

For context I got a 2:2 for my first year at uni basically just about passed first year, I really did not take first year seriously, hence the bad grades. I go to a top 5/6 uni. My previous academics are A*A*A at a level and 10 GCSE’s from 9-7. how negatively will this impact me in the future when applying for training contracts or vacation schemes.
