I-FGC17386 Haplogroup - Scandinavian/Viking ancestry?

I’ve just received my results for my Haplogroup from FTNDA. The statistics around this Haplogroup seems to be very skewed to Scandinavian countries with tiny amounts of representation within the UK.

My paternal line, as far as I know, goes back to Somerset in the UK. Is this likely a Viking related Haplogroup?

Interestingly I have not found anyone online or who I’m related to who carries this haplogroup.

Australian Results

Took my original test with ftDNA. My family is overwhelmingly Irish on both sides.

It managed to pick up some traces of West Slavic and Magyar which I dismissed as probably being shared ancestry or “noise”. Turns out my 2nd great grandfather came from an area of Prussia which is now modern day Poland, and Anglicised his name. One of the most difficult brick walls to overcome. No idea how he managed to keep that a secret.

We also have a family oral history of Aboriginality within that same line as my third great grandmother was the only child of 9 born without a birth certificate in a frontier where the exploitation of Aboriginal women was highly documented. Her daughter apparently disclosed this background to her grandchildren before passing and family photos definitely seem to support it.

Note: I reformatted my Genomelink results so it was easier for my mum to read.
