My tinnitus was caused by TMJ and a bad infection in my jaw 3 years ago. The tinnitus was up to a high pitch that was keeping me awake at night. I have fullness in my ears that is never cleared by the valsava maneuver and that is painful sometimes. My ENT said no to tubes and basically said to deal with it. I couldn’t take it anymore so I read the subreddit and decided to try a combination of a few things.

Here’s the YMMV part - Flonase to help inflammation and swelling, Astepro (an antihistamine), pseudoephedrine (decongestant), jaw and neck stretches and a handheld massager on my jaw, in front of my ear canals and behind my ears down to my neck to try to drain fluids from my Eustachian tubes.

It’s only been a week, but the ringing is down to a light buzz and crackling. Im doing it for a few more weeks to see if it maintains or improves. I don’t know if it’ll last, but it’s worth trying.
