Can anyone weigh in on this bar soap debate on r/Antiques re a Jim Crow item?

I think that is clearly a Jim Crow era item. The comment section has been swayed to think that a Black soap maker a la Madam CJ Walker would have marketed their products to fellow Black people in this way. I am losing my mind here historians.
