Season 10, episode 12. Poor Abby, she’s a magnet for ‘creative’ parents 😆

I’m pregnant with our fourth child, who is our first boy. I want to go with a more classical name to not be going through the same name change process we’re starting with my daughter.
In another post, someone suggested Grav, and it got me thinking about grayvee or graayvey for a boy.
I know Gravy is growing in popularity following Yung Gravy’s fame, and I’m not sure if G names are overrated for a boy.
(I chose Satire Tag guys! Don’t worry! I would spell it Gravy)
some “gems” on the web 😬
These are from my kid’s yearbook. Pick your poison. No spelling changes allowed. I’m going to go with Paizley because I think it’s the least offensive.
Her name is labia - something that rhymes prob
Hi all
I’m a 22 year old male and I used to be called Peter but most people called me Pete
It is ridiculously old fashioned and I’ve hated it for as long as I can remember. I hated “Pete” but I defeated “Peter”. I hated introducing myself and I honestly felt so embarrassed every time I did it.
People often used to ask me if I’m names after a relative and tbh no one took me seriously cos of my name. I went on the internet and a lot of people have said that Peter is a terrible name.
I changed it legally to something else 6 months ago and I’m still In the adaptation stage of my name and honestly It will be a stain on my life forever.
I honestly have so much anger st my parents for giving me this name especially my mum. Her reasoning for naming me this is actually so offensive and insulting to me that I have thought about not talking to her ever again.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all! If kids can be named “Jesus” they can also be named “Lucifer”. It’s a beautiful tribute to her father.
Edit to add: my caption is sarcastic. I do not think this is a good name for a human because of the negative connotations surrounding the name. Probably not the best idea to put that onto your baby. I do think the name is fine for a pet, specifically a cat.
Lots of requests here for Indian names that work in English-speaking countries. I put together a site with names from Sanskrit, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, and Bengali traditions — each with meaning, pronunciation guide, and a "Works in English" flag for names that English speakers can say without coaching.
It's at naamkaro.com Happy to answer questions about specific names in the comments too!
What do yall think? My husband brought it up yesterday (it’s his top name) and the more I think about it, the more I love it. We would pair it with a longer girly middle name: Wander Evangeline or Wander Genevieve. Love the nicknames Wand & Wandy Bear, and the nature and wanderlust vibes.
it means freedom, but does it have any other significance besides the bell, statue, and insurance company?
Hi! We are expecting a little girl this year. First baby. Would like something with an easy spelling. Dad is a sixteenth generation charter fisherman so he loves anything ocean related.
Marina is nice, but it feels too obvious to me. I have always loved the name Morgan but it's too common. We have been discussing Wharf. Is this too out there? We got married on a wharf, so there is some connection beyond the actual construction aspect.
What are y’all thoughts? Wharf vs Marina vs Morgan… any other ideas?
They're brothers. Looking for goofy names. Matching would be nice. The one with white is a little aloof and the solid orange is more outgoing.
I wish this was all, but there were so many on this thread this post will probably need a part 2 😬
