ANYONE DITCH THEIR KATANA FOR THE REACTOR?

I was wondering how it compares & overall if it lives up to the hype it's getting across Youtube. It's got me a little intrigued... I've currently got the gen 3 Artist... any thoughts or overall impressions are more than welcome. Thanks in advance!

How screwed am I?

Here's a pic of the circuit board ( power amp section) of my 1st gen Peavey Vypyr 100 watt 2x12 combo amp. I did a dumb thing...I was trying to determine if the stock Blue Marvels were the cause of the harshness I was hearing from it. The dumb thing? I went from headphone out to the effects return of my tube amp & overheated it. Nothing visibally melted on the other side, but you can see it plainly on the side shown. Problem areas are capacitors & transistors. My question is..... does it look like the circuit board itself is toast, or could I likely replace just the individual parts & get it working again? Any help or advice appreciated & no need to call my a dumb ass... I'm well aware! Thanks in advance!

Advice on converting a combo amp to an head

Ok.. I've got a 1st gen vypyr 100, & although I really like the high gain models it offers, it seems the factory blue marvels sound just plain terrible to me. I **think** it's the speakers, but it might be due to the digital modeling? Anyway... space is at a premium, & i feel the only way i can keep it is to convert it into a head unit. Is this idea effing nuts, or could it sound tons better through a larger cab?

Got this a couple weeks ago & I gotta say I'm loving it so far. Tone Studio & Librarian make it simple to import patches (i just wish their were more than 8 slots).... otherwise very happy with it. The Bluetooth adapter is nice, but it should've been built in imo. Putting a 10 band eq in the effects loop makes a huge difference, too. I've only played on the 0.5 watt setting... I'm just a bedroom player & usually practice late at night with my kiddos across the hall & in the next room over. Anyone else out there loving theirs or disappointed with it, etc....?
