I own an oddities shop and want to start making some taxidermy rats, but I want them to be relatively consistent.

I’ve made a couple using clay for the head and carved foam for the body but I couldn’t replicate the true shape as well as I hoped.

Could I take a skinned body (including the skull), position it how I want, make a silicone mold of it, and make forms with spray foam?

I feel like this would end up being a bit quicker in the long run, especially if I plan on making several.

Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated!

First time home buyer and I’m tired of getting out-bid. Someone recommended writing a letter to the home owner to potentially push them to sell to you.

Has anyone actually done that here? Any success stories? At this point I’m willing to try almost anything lol.

Thinking of moving from central to the west coast and interested in buying a house. Anyone recently go through the experience out there? Wondering what to expect. I know on the Avalon a lot is going well over asking.

We all know the housing market is insane on the island right now. It’s cooling down on the mainland though, so do we think it will start to relax over here? Or is it going to go crazy for a while yet?

I just got into a position where I’m able to afford a house around 450K, but the market is so insanely inflated right now I might just wait. Thoughts?
